To know her is to love her. Happy Birthday to our Talia. Aka: T-Money; architect, designer, space-planning extraordinaire, and absolute gem of a human being. She is gifted in so many ways but if you’ve met her, you’ve noticed her genuine care, hilariousss sense of humor, and more than likely been on the receiving end of her undeniable God-given talent (and boomer sooner jokes). Talia, you are an absolute JOY and gift to every single one of us and so many others. Thank you for being you, and for the manyyyyy ways you hold Cavie Interiors together. We love you and are sooo very thankful for you!

The Silverwood Project, in all his glory.
When we designed this home two years ago, we were determined to find a way to build ✨arched✨ pocket doors—something we’d never seen before.
We enlisted our sister company, Cavie & Co, (run by Rachel’s hubby, Johnny) to find a way to make it happen.
Together, Rachel, Johnny Cav, and Johnny Piszor made sure every single detail and dimension was carefully checked before build.
Afterrrrr the pocket doors (✌🏽 total) were installed, the Piszor crew did their thing and carefully built the arched molding to encase these (huge) white oak beauties.
They were a labor of love that required a ton of attention to detail, teamwork, and expertise.
And we may be slightlyyy biased, but we’d say these baddies most 👏🏻definitely 👏🏻paid 👏🏻off👏🏻 (Take a peek in comments for before)

Still not over the wall-to-wall honed Carrara marble, tile detailing, plastered ceilings, intricate crown moulding, and rich wood paneling throughout this stunning home built in the 1890s.
Moral of the story: When your bestie’s parents ask if you can help give input on rehabbing their family home, you 1000% should say yes.😍😍
Excuse me while I swoon over it all (and remind everyone to please not sit on the original Eames chairs—that are in fact, nbd, everywhere.)
It’s been the dreamiest trip— and the show was the icing on top.🖤

It’s flower season— playhouses included. ✨
Six ways to give your ensuite a glow up:
1) Change the hardware! Brushed Nickel and Oil Rubbed Bronze are builder grade staples, change them out for Polished Nickel or even Brass “home jewelry” like we did here for a custom look.
2) Change your faucets! These faucets are under $75/ea and make all the difference!
3) Add some interest; wallpaper, woodwork, or even tile to make your mirror pop!
4) Change your mirror. We personally love one wide mirror instead of two for 60-72” vanities. Opt for a textured or polished style.
5) Change your lighting! Lighting (both the fixture and colour of light) can change everything!
6) Add something green! A potted plant or stems in a vase will instantly elevate the space and make it come alive. ✨

Still not over the transformation of this former library off the foyer.
One of the biggest things we’ve learned in this industry is that every family is different. When we reimagine spaces, we don’t envision how they will look in photos. Instead, we try to picture your family according to your unique family culture, living in these reimagined spaces.
And receiving selfies of this precious family gathered around the poker table with their adult children is what it’s all about.
Your home is not about our photos; it’s your family’s sacred gathering place. 🖤

POV: When your client asks you to “European Hamptonize” (can we please make this phrase a thing?) the master ensuite…using the existing cabinetry, soaking tub, millwork… and also somehow incorporate the teal shower tile. 😉 We may be biased but some of our all-time favourite design decisions have been the direct result of requests like these. We had a feeling we’d struck gold when we found this wallpaper, and we couldn’t be more smitten. ✨ (swipe for before)

We’ve watched this little slice of heaven transform over the last three months. She had a brilliant floorplan and was already stunning; she just needed a little somethin’ to reflect her family’s vibrant, fun-loving personality.
Our amazing clients finallyyyyy get their dreamy girl back today. And we couldn’t be more obsessed with her. 🖤 (Scroll for before.)
