I started training at Outlaw FitCamp because was in need of making a drastic change in fitness. I was a kidney dialysis patient trying to become approved for a kidney transplant. My transplant doctor in January said that he needed to see improvement in the next 60 days in my physical fitness.
The changes began as soon as I met with my trainers. It is a process and a daily struggle to change long held actions and habits. However, I have been encouraged by my trainers in following the fuel plan. Since I started at Outlaw FitCamp, I am eating much cleaner food and more meals at home. When we do choose to eat out, I am making better choices of what to select for my fuel. I currently training 4 days per week and 1 hour per day.
The big goal that I achieved within 60 days of beginning my training was being APPROVED for a kidney transplant!!!! I went from being an โok" candidate to being a "VERY GOOD CANDIDATE for transplant . The doctors were very impressed with my commitment to training and my improved fitness. My initial goal has been achieved. However, I must continue to train to keep and improve my fitness level to make post transplant life better.
Outlaw FitCamp's upbeat environment and sincere, positive people have been so helpful because some days can be tough when I am fighting life as a dialysis patient. My daily dialysis treatment is each day for more than 12 hours, which is a beating. Training is different and helps me develop a better outlook.
When I started at Outlaw FitCamp, my body was very tight but now I am able to stretch my body in ways that I have not been able to do for many years. I am still working on this with my trainers.
My trainers Rachel and Lynn are perfect for me. They each know how to best help me with my struggles. They know how to push me in the right way to make me better. They have been a great encouragement to my body and Jesse, thank you for leadership that you have provided Outlaw FitCamp!!

"Beginning at Outlaw FitCamp was prompted by my aspiration to compete in bikini bodybuilding, initially seeking guidance from Ms. Kay Simms. However, scheduling constraints led me to Coach Thomas, whose immediate rapport and the gym's invigorating atmosphere resonated with me deeply. My decision to compete was rooted in my lifelong involvement in sports and the solace I found in fitness during the pandemic. Despite initial jitters, my debut show at the NPC Southwest USA Championships on May 4th was both nerve-wracking and exhilarating.
