It was a homerun with our residents 👏🏼👏🏼

Food is a BIG deal at Watermark. Our menu and dietary process have recently been completely overhauled as part of our pursuit of continual growth and improvement.

Mealtimes in our homes aren’t just about food, they are about the opportunity to come together with friends in a shared experience.

But great food makes that experience a whole lot more inviting! 😉

Last week for Thankful Thursday, residents at Chestatee and Lanier houses decorated cards and wrote notes to families staying at Ronald McDonald House. 🥰

Ronald McDonald Houses provide a home away from home for families with children receiving treatment at hospitals and medical facilities.

Our residents absolutely love doing for others, especially when it involves children. Serving others provides a sense of purpose and fulfillment unlike anything else.

It is our honor and privilege to provide our resident family the opportunity to support an organization like 💕

👨‍🚒 Thankful Thursday at Watermark is all about providing our residents an opportunity to say “Thank You” to those in our community and beyond who serve, protect and positively impact the world around them.

Recently our residents decorated cards and wrote notes to our local firefighters to tell them how much they are appreciated 💕

In the world of senior care, firefighters are often the first ones on the scene when there is a medical emergency.

Our friends at Hall County Fire Station 5 are caring and responsive. They help keep our residents who are experiencing a medical emergency calm with their professionalism and kindness. In short, Firestation 5 ROCKS!! 👏🏼👏🏼

We want to give a HUGE Watermark Thank You to this precious girl and her Mom Melissa LeEllen for visiting Watermark yesterday and blessing our residents with Story Time on the Porch at both of our houses.

Adelina did an excellent job reading some classics to our residents. They especially loved Alice in Wonderland 💕💕 Adelina’s expressive reading captured and held everyone’s attention as we followed along to all of Alice’s adventures.

Volunteers like Adelina enhance the lives of our residents more than they’ll ever realize and that fills our cups to the brim.

Thank you Melissa and Adelina - we can’t wait to have you back!!

✝️ Our 3rd Annual Easter Celebration at Watermark this year was the best ever! 🙌🏼🙌🏼

We kicked if off with a pancake breakfast and after that it was
all about worshipping our Risen Savior, and boy did we worship!

We spent a couple of hours of singing along to favorite hymns and spirituals, sharing a devotion on the crucifixion and resurrection, and spending precious time together in sweet celebration of what Jesus did for us on the Cross ✝️

We love what we do at Watermark every day, but on days like this we are especially reminded of what and who it’s all about.

We are grateful and beyond blessed 💕

Very often, our residents are coming out of situations where they have experienced social isolation, whether living at home alone or with family.

Families with the very best intentions and efforts to keep their aging loved ones engaged socially reach a point where they are emotionally exhausted from trying to juggle careers and their own families, while making sure Mom or Dad stay connected emotionally and socially.

Living in a small family-like group setting like Watermark not only provides help with basic activities of daily living, but more importantly provides seniors an opportunity to stay connected with others, which has a significant positive impact on mental and emotional well-being.
