Lanier Experience Bass Fishing
Lanier Experience Guide Service provides professionally guided trips for Spotted Bass, Largemouth Bass, Stripers and Waterfowl hunting.
Georgia's Lake Lanier is arguably one of the hottest fisheries in the country! A lake that is known for its Magnum Spotted Bass, also consistantly provides anlgers with opportunities at both trophy Largemouth and Striped bass. We specialize in artificial and live bait techniques for all of Lanier's species and offer trips year round. Check us out frequently for postings and reports, and visit our website for booking info. http://www.RobJordanFishing.com/
Glad to be getting back on the water after a couple seasons off to establish the XLC & MAG lure design and production shops!
First off, a huge thank you to all that have supported and been apart of making that dream a reality! Exciting plans and new projects are underway for this year.
Outside of all the things going on there and some on-water video projects for the businesses, I’ll be mixing in a few competitive events and a limited number of client trips this season.
Here’s a first look at some available client trip spots for March & April - email on the contact tab on the site for booking

Lanier Experience Bass Fishing
Hey guys! Just a heads up to all our clients and followers of the Lanier Experience page here, at some point over the next couple of months I am going to merge this page with ⬇️⬇️
FB page - Rob Jordan Fishing
I’ll have client trip photos and information there as well as tips, instructional videos, tournament info etc.
Nothing changes, I’ll still run client trips seasonally (weekdays Mar-Oct primarily) on Lanier, Hartwell and various other lakes in our region. I sincerely appreciate overwhelming requests for trips , you guys are incredible and I’m very thankful for great friendships built over the years!
With the expansion of the lure business and the big plans for the near future with it, I’m simply consolidating the fishing pages... to hopefully make things a little easier to follow and on my
end sorting thru DM messages throughout the year.
For now if you want to reach out , contact me at -

I will upload some photos here from recent trips soon and make a few more posts before I switch the page.

We’ve been doing it all over the last few weeks.. Electronics trips, forward scan instruction, Topwater & Swimbait beat downs, dropshots, fly fishing and even filmed a TV show with Z-Man Fishing Products teammate Captain CA Richardson.
The fishing has been red hot and incredibly consistent as of late. Really looking forward to some upcoming trips with kids and some deep water fishing for the summer!

First stop. One cast. Two bass!
Great trip with one of my die hard Topwater clients, who brought his dad along for new personal best (4.01) Awesome day and I’ve lost count of PB’s on trips this year!
Lanier has been fishing great!
The fishing has been steady lately with most full day trips averaging 20-30 fish. Come stripers and white bass mixed in. The main techniques can change on the hour at times, but the moving baits have been consistent for the last couple of weeks.
Looking forward to what June has in store for full blown Topwater season ! Feel free to reach out thru the contact tab on my website if you’re interested in going -

Hope everyone has a fun and safe Memorial Day weekend !
2 PB Spots for a bag full today.
Lanier & Chatuge did not disappoint last week! Early May is always a transition time where the primary techniques can change day to day, but there’s still potiental for awesome fishing!
Here are a couple photos from trips, great times switching gears daily from chasing postspawn largemouth and Topwater spotted bass hanging around herring. Looking forward to some full blown Topwater and Swimbait fishing the rest of the month! Get ready for some incredible video also!
Open- May 14, 18, 20, 27
Spots, Largemouth and Stripers !
I was able to snap a couple of photos from trips last week and we had a variety of different bites going with the changing conditions. Even mixed in a Win last Wednesday in a Digital Tournament while we were out there!
Averaging 30 fish a trip with a range of lures working. Plastics, Topwater, swimbaits and wakebaits were the main players.
Look for the Topwater fishing to ramp up over the next few weeks as the fish transition from the spawn to their summer areas. I’ll go ahead and apologize in advanced for the Topwater blowup video overload you guys are gonna see 😁

April is my favorite month for just flat out, Catching Fish! 👍
Life is good when we’re Sight fishing 4+ Spots 😎
The fishing has been wide open lately for Big Spots & Largemouth ! We’ve caught a half a dozen between 5 & 7lb + in the last few weeks on Lanier & Burton!
Talking more about Lanier... Many of us know it is truly a special fishery like many of the lakes in North GA are. At Lanier, anglers regularly have a chance at trophy fish of both species but it’s also special in the sense that the “Spawn” realistically lasts about 2 months give or take.
(It’s not uncommon at all to see or catch fish in early June spawning)
We typically have 2 major waves of fish that move shallow during April and May that can be caught on a variety of techniques. And the term ‘shallow’ can be anything less than 15ft depending on the area. I personally love fishing shallow myself and with clients, but the best thing about the extended spawning season is that you can catch fish so many different ways at the same time.
Right now, we are catching fish around spawning Shad and Herring, prespawn offshore, and up shallow spawning and post spawn fish. It’s the time of year to pick your favorite technique and go fishing! There’s no right or wrong way to go about it!
**I dont check the DM’s on this page often, for trips feel free to contact me through my site www.RobJordanFishing.com and I’ll get back to you guys asap.

Big Fish Season !
Congratulations to 12 yo Grant for his 6.81 this week 👍
Spring is here and Man the fish are healthy!!
After a week of Tournament prep and electronics trips, I jumped in a local 2 day event over the weekend with a long time friend Casey Smith. The weather and lake conditions definitely threw all of us a curveball and forced us to scrap our game plan and fish the conditions. In 2 days on the water we had overcast and calm, rain, sun, storms and extreme wind and waves. Not to mention most of Lanier was a pollen mat, I think the rest was red mud and pine straw as the lake continues to rise from the recent rains.
Something I spend a lot of time helping anglers with when talking about establishing a ‘Pattern’ on Instructional trips, is how to quickly identify something that is working for you and run with it. Herring Lakes can change daily, even by the hour at times when the weather is changing. Regardless if it’s a specific lure, color or location fish are set up on, noticing that trend and capitalizing on it will result in more consistency. Versus relying on what happened yesterday or the last time you were on water. History is just that, History.
Although we didn’t catch them as well as I expected us to and we missed some opportunities for a comfortable win, some quick adjustments resulted in a top finish and big fish for day 2 with a 7.28 Largemouth. We had a 2 day total of 33 1/2 pounds and it was a great to spend some time in the boat with one of my best friends.
To say you can catch fish from 2 ft to 50 ft right now would be an understatement. There is truly a bite to be found wherever you want to look for it and the amount of quality fish that Lanier produces week after week is amazing. This is a very special lake!
Hats off to the winners and all the anglers that fished last weekend! I’m looking forward to what the next couple of months have in store on trips with you guys!
Now is the time to get out there, be safe and tight lines! If you want to join me on a trip later this Spring or Summer feel free to contact me at

Off Season break is over and kicked off 2021 with a range of trips over the past few weeks.
Although many of my Instructional and tournament prep clients are ‘camera shy’😁, I’ve mixed in some family, electronics and technique specific trips on several lakes.
The water temps are climbing quick and the next few weeks are the time for catching! And, just like the last few years, I’ll continue to guide trips on Hartwell, Chatuge and a few on Oconee for you guys that live or have tournaments there 👍
