I’m a big fan of fitness challenges, like lunging a mile or doing a burpee-a-thon for max burpees in an hour (although those were pretty painful). By the end of 2019, I could no longer deny the fact that I wasn’t actually helping people. I wasn’t impacting the hearts of the people I love in the ways I feel so compelled. Instead, I led a very unhealthy example, working out to a detrimental degree, overeating inflammatory foods, obsessively numbing my own pain, and totally failing to draw boundaries around my energy.

I wish, however, I had spent more time helping people understand that they are enough, just as they are. I wish I spent more time dismantling the fiction people find online. I wish I had focused more on healing myself, so as to inspire others to do the same.
-
So let me tell you now, YOU ARE ENOUGH, just as you are! Practice being in a state of wholeness, practice loving yourself, and the rest will follow.

Sometimes I fall into a learning vortex that I struggle to crawl my way out of... Today I discovered and the wonderful research she’s doing to better understand women in relation to athletics. I’ll share more when I finish her book, Roar... She touches on so many things I’ve been intuitively coming to understand about myself and the women I work with. It’s pretty exciting to see the research!💜

A little back circuit for my friends 💜💪 I’ve learned not to neglect any body parts when programming my workouts because I’ll invariably throw my body out of alignment. I’m also learning what it feels like when specific areas, such as my sacrum, go out of alignment and what activation movements help me realign myself.

Although I think it’s important to note that a stressful situation has the power to throw me out of alignment in such a manner that seems to resolve itself only when I work through said conflict.
