In case you haven't heard - it is a California state mandate that all visitors to any hospital have proof of full vaccination or a negative covid test result within the previous 72 hours (no, the at- home testing doesn't count). So for all the support people and partners of our pregnant patients, NOW is the time to get vaccinated!

Also, the CDC came out with an even stronger recommendation that all pregnant people get vaccinated for covid. Study results show no increased risk of miscarriage for those who got the vaccine less than 20 weeks, and no increased risk of stillbirth, early labor, or other complications in those who got the vaccine after 20 weeks.

You have likely heard: Covid-19 is surging again. We encourage all of our patients to wear masks whenever in public, particularly indoors. And please, please get VACCINATED! Yes, even pregnant patients - especially pregnant patients! Those who are pregnant are at far higher risk to get seriously ill or die from this terrible disease. Go to myturn.ca.gov to schedule your vaccination now. It is 100% free, no insurance required!

As California reopens tomorrow with reduced mask requirements, please remember that masks will still be REQUIRED in healthcare settings! This includes all of our offices and affiliated surgery centers and hospitals. Thank you for helping to keep all of our staff and patients safe.

We have exciting news! Mercy San Juan has officially opened its brand new, state of the art NICU! For decades Mercy San Juan has taken care of the tiniest, earliest, and sickest babies. They continue that mission now, in a brand-new space! Rest assured that when you deliver your baby with Camellia Women's Health, they will have the most excellent, compassionate care whether they need the NICU or not.

Covid-19 Update:

Thank you all for your cooperation and understanding as we navigate these difficult times. I believe we are making a difference in the health of our community!

Starting May 11, we will unfortunately not be allowing any visitors to enter the office with our patients. Exceptions only for professional translators and for one support person to accompany the patient during her anatomy ultrasound. All persons entering our office will be screened for Covid symptoms, and temperature taken.

Additionally, starting May 11 we will be requiring that all persons entering our offices wear a mask during their entire visit. We are unfortunately not able to provide masks to patients or their support person.

We are committed to the safety and health of our patients, our staff, and our community. Our offices are open to see you, however, please do not come to the office if you are sick. This includes if you have a cough, runny nose, or fever, or if you have been in contact with anyone known to be infected with the novel CoronaVirus. Please do not bring children or extra visitors to your appointment.

We will be limiting the appointments in our offices for the coming weeks in order to decrease the potential spread of illness. We will be contacting you to reschedule your appointment if we believe it is important for your safety. Please call or message us via the Patient Portal if you wish to cancel or reschedule your appointment, or with any questions or concerns.

We are monitoring the situation closely and will take any steps necessary to keep our community healthy!
