SSA reaches deal to resume some in-person disability claims hearings starting in May SSA and the Association of Administrative Law Judges reached an agreement this week to resume in-person disability as soon as May 4, while continuing to hold virtual video and phone hearings.
We are taking a number of precautions to help ensure the safety of both our staff and clients during the Covid-19 pandemic. We follow California Department of Public Health guidance and requirements, and as of March 1, 2022, masks will no longer be required (except in certain settings), but they will still be recommended. We want to continue to respect people’s preferences, and in our office, if you prefer that our staff members wear masks during our meetings with you, please let us know and we will respect your wishes.
We also schedule additional time between client meetings to allow for sanitization of the conference room and waiting area, and allow one client in the office at a time. We practice social distancing and provide hand sanitizer for everyone to use.
