In 1974 the membership was capped at 125 players and the ages ranged from
The Phoenix U13 Boys had two away matches this past weekend. On Saturday they were up against North Shore and came out ready to play taking a 4-0 lead into half time. They score 3 and gave up 3 in the second half to come away with a 7-3 win. Six players scored the 7 goals. Parker Giese and Sawyer Faubel scored their first goals of the season, William Block added two and Juan Macedo, Donovan Hernandez, and Jayden McCartney each had one. The boys were excited for the win, but the conversations quickly turned to candy and trick or treating when the match was done.
On Sunday they traveled to Franklin to take on an undefeated (in league) Croatian team that had only given up two goals in 7 matches. The match was intense from the start with the Croatian’s scoring first. The Phoenix equalized on a goal by Anthony Mota off a corner kick from William Block. The intensity continued to build in the 2nd half with Donovan Hernandez scoring for the Phoenix and the Croatian’s tying it on a long free kick. Donovan scored his second goal to put the Phoenix up 3-2 and they held on for the win. Phinn Batson stepped in to play an excellent game in goal. Three more matches for the U13 team before the end of the fall season.
The Fondy Phoenix Girls U14 team hosted SC Wave New Berlin Elite this past Saturday at the Fondy Soccer Complex. It was a highly contested match. The Phoenix girls were passing effectively to come away with a score in the first half. The second half was more of the same and the Phoenix girls were able to come out with another 1-0 shutout win.
Congratulations Phoenix Girls on another hard-fought victory!
This Saturday, the Fondy Phoenix U14 boys team travelled to Allouez to take on the Allouez Stampede. Despite being down 3 players, including their primary goalkeeper, the Phoenix got on the board early and never looked back. With a great team effort, they possessed and passed through an overmatched Stampede club, with 5 different players notching goals in a 5-0 victory. Great game fellas!
The Fondy Phoenix U11 Boys ended the fall season in impressive fashion with a 6-2 win at home over FC Wisconsin on Saturday. The boys did a great job of matching the physicality and winning the 50/50 balls. This winter the boys will continue to work on their technical skills in preparation for the spring season. Go Phoenix!!
You may have heard some chatter about the birth year vs school year player discussion that has come up (again) after being changed to birth year back in 2017. No decisions have been made one way or the other but sharing the most recent official statement from US Youth Soccer.

The Phoenix U13 Boys traveled to Verona this past weekend to compete in the Reddan Ice Age Classic. They started out on Saturday morning with a big 11-1 win over Capital East 13U Blue. The team maintained possession of the ball throughout the match and 8 different players scored with Juan Pablo Sanchez scoring his first ever goal for the Phoenix. Their second match of the day was against a team from Monona Grove FC. The Phoenix came away with a 4-0 victory with Maverick Kolath and Phinn Batson sharing time in goal and coming away with the clean sheet. The team did a great jog of being patient throughout the match and played great team defense. Goals were scored by Phinn Batson, Donovan Hernandez, William Block, and Jayden McCartney.
The team started out Sunday needing a win in their match versus Middleton United and came away with a victory and a clean sheet for Maverick Kolath, 5-0. The team did another great job being patient at the start of the match and slowly took control over the course of the first half and maintained control throughout the second half. Phinn Batson Batson scored two goals. Kian O’Connor, Jayden McCartney, and Vincent Arellano each had one. The Phoenix were matched up against a very good Bettendorf Soccer Association team in the final on Sunday afternoon. The first half ended 0-0 with both team playing great individual and team defense and neither team really having a good opportunity to score. Bettendorf scored a goal halfway through the second half and added a second on a free kick with under a minute to go. The boys were disappointed to finish second, but they play great and improved each match and if they keep it up, we will win a tournament in the spring.
Thanks to all the parents and families for traveling to Verona and spending your weekend there, it also helped that the weather was amazing.
The Fondy Phoenix U14 boys were in action again this past weekend at the Reddan Ice Age Classic tournament in Verona. Due to a clerical miscommunication, the boys were bumped up into the U15 division, which saw a wide range of competitiveness across the teams in two brackets.
The Phoenix showed great grit, heart and teamwork, with improved team ball-movement and team defense throughout the tournament weekend. A few of the many highlights:
-a key goal by Brody W to pull Fondy even with Plymouth in game 1 Saturday, his first at the club level
-a hat-trick by Ivan E against the same Plymouth team to help the Phoenix pull away to a 5-1 victory
-Preston B for saving a high-volume of difficult shots
-Anthony M for hustling against a larger and technically proficient Madison 56ers club that resulted in an own-goal for them.
-the whole team for keeping their heads high and showing class while being overmatched by Rush 6-0 Saturday and Madison 56ers 6-1 Sunday.
Great work guys!
A big THANK YOU to all of our amazing coaches, parents, and most importantly, our Little Kickers on a successful fall season. We saw so much growth, smiles, and teamwork. We can't wait to see you back on the field soon!
The Fondy Phoenix U14 boys hosted Hidalgo MKE this past weekend at the Fondy Soccer complex. It was an extremely physical affair, with Hidalgo striking early, the Phoenix battling back with 2 goals of their own, and Hidalgo squeaking the equalizer in with less than 5 minutes remaining. The Phoenix played hard, possessed well, and showed toughness and poise in a game that got chippy at times and was interrupted by a 4-legged fan as well. Final 2-2.
Big shout out to former Fondy Phoenix player Gabby Born on earning Player of the Week honors in college at UW Oshkosh! Another “proud parent moment” for our Fondy Phoenix Soccer family.
The Fondy Phoenix Girls U14 team traveled to Deforest to play in the Norski Fall Bash tournament this past weekend.
In the first game Saturday, the Phoenix girls were attacking the ball and keeping the pressure on the opponent’s defense all game long. They came out with 2-0 victory. The second game Saturday got postponed to Sunday due to the weather. The first game on Sunday was modified to kicks from the mark to allow enough time for championship games to be played. The girls responded to the challenge and won the shootout with a 4-3 score. The championship game was another tightly contested match between the two teams. The Phoenix girls got a goal in the first half and were able to shut out the opponent for a 1-0 victory.
Congratulations Phoenix Girls, Norski Fall Bash U14 Champions!
The Fondy Phoenix U15 Girls hit the road today to take on North Shore in Cedarburg in State League play. It was a hard fight match with our girls coming out on top 3-2 with two goals from Hailey Collett and one goal from Ella Kristmann. Great job ladies!!

This past weekend the Fondy Phoenix Girls U14 team traveled to play in the Racine Lighthouse Classic tournament.
In the first game Saturday, the Phoenix girls fell behind 0-2 early. They stayed strong and were eventually able to mount a 2-goal comeback finishing the game with a 2-2 tie. In the second game Saturday, the Phoenix girls came out hot leading to 5-0 halftime lead. In the second half the girls came out hot again and scored another 5 goals to finish the game with a 10-0 shutout. The scoring was spread around with 6 different players scoring goals. The first game on Sunday, the Phoenix Girls needed to win the game to advance to the championship game. They responded to the challenge with another 6-0 shut out victory. The championship game was a well fought game between both teams. The Phoenix girls played their hearts out and fighting through some injuries lost a very close and tightly contested match 0-1.
Congratulations girls on a well deserved second place finish!

The Fondy U14 boys played a pair of wind-driven games this weekend.
On Saturday, the Phoenix hosted Oshkosh United, and played an even match that saw them surrender a late goal in the first half to trial 0-1 at halftime. The second half, the Phoenix came out organized and firing. A long goal with the keeper out of the box started the scoring for Fondy, and the attack overwhelmed Oshkosh after that. Final tally, Phoenix 4 United 1.
On Sunday, the boys traveled to Cedarburg to take on Northshore United, a familiar and very physical opponent. The Phoenix came out a little hesitant, but played fairly evenly until Northshore broke the game open, eventually going up 3-0 in the second half. The Phoenix showed their mettle, scoring twice in the second half, but ultimately ran out of time to pull even and lost 3-2.
Physical play, teamwork and grit were on display this weekend, keep up the good work boys!
Congrats to our Fondy Phoenix U15 girls state team on their second place finish at the Racine lighthouse tournament going 2-1 on the weekend and knocking in 10 goals and only giving up one goal all tournament. Despite missing a few players, everybody on the team stepped up and goals were scored by five different players this weekend.
The Fondy Phoenix U11 boys played some of their best soccer of the fall season with 2 highly competitive league games.
On Saturday, the Phoenix hosted North Shore. The boys were able to control the pace of play and maintain possession in the first half. Unfortunately, they were only able to find the back of the net once due to an extraordinary effort by the North Shore keeper. The second half found the Phoenix stuck in a defensive shape. The game was equalized 1-1 at the 15 minute mark. In the 59th minute, NorthShore was able to capitalize on a beautiful one touch outside the 18. All we could do was tip our cap as we fell 2-1.
On Sunday, the boys traveled to Bavarian and rose to the challenge of a physical match to take a 4-3 thriller. There were some moments when the game was tough, but as we say, "it's easy to be UP when you're winning, but we need to be UP when things aren't in your favor". Great resilience by this group. GO PHOENIX
The Fondy Phoenix U13 Boys team had an away match against LUFC on Sunday. We gave up an early goal but equalized quickly with a goal by Anthony Mota assisted by Maverick Kolath. LUFC scored a second goal late in the first half to go up 2-1. Fondy continued to have a lot of the ball and maintain possession in the second half just like they did in the first half, creating several good scoring opportunities in open play and set pieces but couldn’t find the net and tie the game. LUFC scored a third goal and came away with the 3-1 win.
The Fondy Phoenix U11 boys took to the pitch this weekend at the PCYS Nutmeg Classic with the goal of "taking home the squirrel". Although the boys didn't get the squirrel, they were able to place 2nd in a solid field. Working the ball through the middle, ability to switch the field of attack and timely runs were just a few keys to success. More importantly, these boys are learning that doing the "little things" can give you bigger success if you continue to put the work in. Great work boys! GO PHOENIX!
Congratulations to our Fondy Phoenix U12 Boys, who are champions of the 2024 PCYS Nutmeg Classic! Throughout the weekend, the team demonstrated compact defending, denying shots both in the field of play and between the sticks. They shared possession well and played into space on the beautifully groomed fields of Stevens Point, WI. Just as impressive, however, were the compliments the boys received from opposing coaches on their sportsmanship and approach to the game. Well done, boys!
Coming off a tough 0-1 loss Saturday to the Bavarians, our Fondy Phoenix U15 Girls rebounded with a solid 3-0 win today vs Northshore United. Great effort and energy by the whole team today. Morgan Mauthe kept NSU out of our goal all day and Hailey Collett, Zosia Gill, and Leah Wizner knocked in goals.
Good luck to all our Academy and Select players lacing up their cleats for some soccer battles today.
Good luck to our Phoenix Select and Academy teams taking the pitch Saturday in both league play and in tournament action.
