This crystal ball was given to me as a present from a very special lady. I met her on a train going to seattle to meet my sister, I was pregnant and tired from the long trip up north, but I noticed a beautiful woman covered in Turquoise jewelry, long white hair, and a smile as wide as the sky. I asked her about her Jewels and we spoke about magic, about her being a medicine woman, a worrior woman, which I didn't know was allowed for the Apache. We spoke for hours sitting in the diner car looking at the beautiful wilderness of Oregon, Me 19 and just learning who I was, this gargantuan, strong, inspiring woman was telling me her life story and making me feel that one day I too can and will be something truly special, someone that is here to help and guide humanity. the next moment she broke out a bag of Cat tail pollen, a holy first food for many native peoples. She gave me a special prayer for my birth and my baby, and she gave me this, a gorgeous Crystal ball that sits on my boveda. She put it in my hand and said, " One day youll know how to use this. The next morning she had gotten off the train before I could say goodbye. I hope one day to see her again if not in this life in another place.
