Fresno TPS Branch Manager John Gabriel just let us know that a very cool and unique vehicle is currently in his shop.

Pictured below is a rare 1959 Chevy Apache Good Humor Ice Cream Truck. John says they are replacing both rear springs and adding a leaf to make the truck sit level. The truck goes to car shows and hands out ice cream.

Fun Fact: According to MotorTrend, by the 1950s, trucks accounted for 90% of all ice cream sales. The Good Humor Ice Cream Company had a fleet of 2,000 vehicles.

To help with the big move, Betts TPS General Manager Joe Steward recently spent time at our newly relocated Fontana TPS branch.

In a follow-up email to his team, Joe thanked them for their hospitality and expressed his heartfelt appreciation for their hard work and focus on getting the new site up and running. He also shared some photos that he took of the new space. They were so good that we also wanted to share them with you. Please have a look!

Did you know that we not only service but also sell parts for Light and Medium-duty trailers? A small car trailer recently came into our San Leandro TPS branch with a noise complaint. The team ended up replacing the entire suspension, as well as the seized brakes.

Hendrickson recently paid a visit to our Fresno TPS branch and held a training for our technicians and customers. The company discussed the importance of proper trailer suspension maintenance and showcased their new HAULMAAX EX heavy duty rubber suspension and FIREMAAX EX heavy duty rear suspension systems.

Employee appreciation lunches were recently held at our Santa Fe Springs and Fontana TPS branches.

The Portland Betts TPS branch recently held what employees dubbed as their "First Annual Customer Appreciation Event" and, by all accounts, it was yet another successful TPS affair!

Raffle prizes, training, informational materials and vendor demonstrations from STEMCO Products, Triangle Suspension System, Inc. - A Marmon/Berkshire Hathaway Company, Cummins Inc., Automann & Phillips Industries were all offered up and appreciated.

One of Betts' outside sales reps, Shaun Bertalot, contributed his celebrated teriyaki chicken and rice recipe as part of a delicious lunch for all.

Portland TPS Branch Manager, Jen Nedrow, said that the whole team came in early to prepare and put in a lot of effort to make the event great. She further added that "there was lots of laughter and wonderful conversations" and that was what truly made it such a success.

Jen and her team are looking forward to seeing everybody again next year!

An employee appreciation BBQ was held today at our San Leandro TPS branch.

Betts Company Director of Safety, Mark Patton, was in town to conduct safety training and treat the crew to lunch. By all accounts, Mark is quite the grillmaster. So look out, Bobby Flay!!

Portland TPS Branch Manager, Jen Nedrow, recently sent in a bunch of cool pics and notes about the service work and happenings at her branch. She mentioned something that she thought "would be neat to highlight". We do too.

Jen and Service Manager Rollie were busy interviewing a potential hire and a service tech needed some help. That being the case, Betts TPS General Manager, Joe Steward, "did not hesitate to throw on a pair of coveralls and assist". A truck (featured below) needed its walking beam suspension re-bushed ASAP and the crew pulled together and made it happen.

Great example of teamwork and rolling up your sleeves to get the job done!

This 1975 Kenworth Truck Co. W900 truck was recently serviced at our Portland TPS branch. One of our expert techs, Christian, rebuilt its rear walking beam suspension.

Fun Fact: A 1975 Kenworth W900 was featured in the 1980s cult classic trucking movie "Thunder Run". Have you seen it?
