Honor and Remember

HEAT STROKE IS REAL…and it happens faster than you think! ALL animals out in the heat are vulnerable. If you think your pet has heat stroke, wet a towel with COOL to LUKEWARM water and place it on their abdomen and in between their back legs and then go directly to your veterinarian! DO NOT USE COLD OR ICE WATER! This drops their temperature too quickly.

We are seeing quite a few families this year who are devastated by the loss of their pet due to the heat.

When you let your kiddos outside to use the restroom, set a timer on your phone for 5 minutes to remind you to bring your babies back inside.

The heat is here and it's crucial to prioritize the well-being of our furry companions. Remember, if it's too hot for you, it's definitely too hot for them! 🌡️🏠

Be proactive and bring your pets indoors or provide a shaded area to keep them safe and cool. 🏡💦 Provide a comfortable, space for them to relax in and avoid the dangers of overheating. 🐶🐱

It’s CE (Continuing Education) time again! Dr. Brewer will be out of the office Thursday, Friday, and Saturday attending classes. (Special thanks to our gracious stand-in for pics, “DOG-tor” Sandy!)

We will be closed Monday, April 8th. Although there has been no conclusive documentation on what type of damage a solar eclipse can cause to an animal, all experts agree, removing your pet from possible exposure is best. PLEASE BRING YOUR PETS INSIDE (HOUSE, STABLE, BARN, ETC) DURING THE ECLIPSE.
