We’ve got two copies of August’s book club selection in the shop! I can’t wait to start it. Everyone who’s read it gives me this face before they start talking about it 😳and then the raving begins 👏👏it’s giving big page turner energy 💨

Y’all I’m so excited about these new bookshelves/rests (can we call them book houses?!) from local woodworker These would be at home in just about any room - used as a cookbook holder (complete with a spot for your wineglass) in the kitchen, bedside table (with space for your glasses and phone) or kids’ rooms to hold your place until the next bedtime when storytime resumes again!

The kids are back in school, let’s take our houses (and laundry!) back 👏👏👏and I’m definitely savoring the moment *deep breath* 🧘🧖‍♀️😌

August book club - let’s gooooo!! The kids are starting back to school on Thursday (🙌🙌🙌) and I’m ready to dive into this thriller!! I’ve heard it’s a doozy 😳🤯

The summer has been wild. And the bookstore has taken a backseat to my family, which is as it should be! But I’m so very thankful to have a little slice of time this morning to catch up. Writing down my favorite lines from Same As It Ever Was, the newest from ❤️🥲and going through my advance catalogue from 📚 I hope you find a moment for yourself today…take a breath, take a walk, take a nap. Be thankful ✨

Father’s Day is next weekend 😬🫠We’ve got so many great books that cover many (many) different interests. And even a couple of fun things to get the kids involved. Come and get ‘em!

Less than 3 weeks until our June book club! We’ll be back at .forsyth for a coffee shop after dark evening 👯‍♀️Hope you can join us!

The Circle of Care will have a free food distribution next Wednesday, June 12 at Christ Church Forsyth, 417 Frontage Rd, Forsyth beginning at 10 am until 12 noon or until food runs out. All Monroe county residents who need food are welcome! The Circle of Care will provide about 9,000 lbs of staples, meat and produce. Volunteers are needed beginning at 9 am to set up, box and distribute food, and clean up. This is such a great outreach ministry for our community and a wonderful way to get involved! Homeschool folks (and parents looking for summer activities with their kids!!) and those with flexible work schedules-come volunteer, we’d love to have you!!
Bonus-our fellow volunteers from the local Marco’s pizza normally send over some pies to feed volunteers after the distribution is wrapped up! So both your heart and stomach will be full :)
