From completing Platoon Live Fire into completing Company STX, your Chosen Few have exemplified nothing but their absolute competence and lethality within the past month. All three platoons dominated their live fire iterations and have proven themselves ready for the final training event, Combined Arms Live Fire Exercise.

2nd Battalion, 12th Infantry Regiment

Chosen Company trained on operations within urban environments by honing their skills on room clearance and maneuver from room to room.

Leaders threw different variables on top of Soldiers’ primary task of clearing a house (ie. casualties, limited visibility, and non-combatants) to evaluate your Chosen Few’s adaptability to operate effectively within urban conditions.

2nd Battalion, 12th Infantry Regiment

Chosen Company completed Squad Live Fire in tandem with 52nd Brigade Engineer Battalion’s Engineer Qualification Tables. Weapon Squads provided suppression on to an enemy objective while engineers from A CO "Assassins", 52nd Brigade Engineer Battalion conducted an explosive breach. Rifle Squads then executed a maneuver live fire, conducting a frontal assault in a react to contact scenario.

Enhancing partnerships through training with enabling units are what make your Chosen Few the most company within 2-12 IN! After the past week, your Chosen Few stand ready for Platoon Live Fire!

2nd Battalion, 12th Infantry Regiment

Your Chosen Few completed Squad Situational Training Exercises (STX) last week in partnership with HHC Scouts to evaluate individual Squads’ abilities to plan and execute operations upon being given an Operations Order. Squad Leaders kicked off the morning with flipping and briefing a Platoon Order into executing an Ambush against known oppositional forces within their area of operations. During their mission, Chosen Soldiers conducted a link up with friendly Scouts, gathered intelligence on the location of their objective location, and emplaced their elements deliberately in anticipation for the enemy to enter the objective.

The training exercise presented a unique set of mental and physical challenges for your Chosen Few, honing their abilities to think critically in high stress environments.

2nd Battalion, 12th Infantry Regiment

This week, your Chosen Few refined skills at Short Range Marksmanship; executing drills revolving accurate target acquisition under pressure, engaging while operating within a CBRN environment, and foot movement while shooting.

This past week, your Chosen Few sharpened their marksmanship skills under night by executing Night Short Range Marksmanship. Soldiers engaged stationary targets while manipulating their PEQ-15s under night vision devices to increase individual lethality under low visibility.

Your Chosen Few absolutely crushed Mounted Machine Gun Qualification (Table 6)! Of the 60 Stryker Crews qualifying, four crews from Chosen Company earned their spots as distinguished crews within 2-12 IN:

Chosen 31: PFC Lyons & SGT Caird (Battalion Top Gun)
Chosen 66: SPC Rapley & SSG McEntee (2nd Highest Battalion Score)
Chosen 13: PV2 Lee & SPC Arcinega (3rd Highest Battalion Score)
Chosen 34: PFC Prater & SGT Laboy (Battalion Top MK-19)

Congratulations to the crew of Chosen 31, PFC Lyons and SGT Caird (3rd Platoon), for taking home the title of BATTALION TOP GUN for Mounted Machine Gun Qualification (Table 6)! SGT Caird outperformed a total of 60 Crews with a score of 975 out of 1000 total points.

The countless hours of dedication and practice put in by PFC Lyons and SGT Caird have finally paid off, setting the standard for Lethality within the rest of 2-12 IN.

Your Chosen Few have been working diligently towards preparation for Table IV, the final qualification for Stryker Crews to show off their abilities to fire and maneuver with their Strykers. Wish them good luck as they compete for Top Gun in the battalion!

This morning, your Chosen Few bid a farewell to CPT Jacob Fust as he relinquished command to CPT Charles Jones.

CPT Fust’s unrelenting dedication to your Chosen Few and his contributions to the betterment of the company have been unmatched. The soldiers of Chosen Company will dearly miss his influence, commitment, and passion for the men and women of Chosen Company. We wish him and his family best of luck as they move on to their new assignment.

Chosen warmly welcomes CPT Jones to his newfound family within the company. CPT Jones is eager and determined to carry on the legacy of excellence that your Chosen Few exemplifies.

Another very busy week dominated by Chosen Company! This week, Chosen Company executed two battalion-level readiness exercises to assess the company’s ability to rapidly muster and execute tactical and convoy operations.

To wrap up the week, your Chosen Few took to the fields of friendly strife with Apache Company to compete for the championship game of the battalion softball competition! Ultimately, the game ended with the Chosen Company guidon getting pinned into Hansen field by SPC Joslyn to celebrate your Chosen Few’s victory over Apache Company!

Your Chosen Few, in preparation for gunnery come September, both trained and evaluated Stryker Crews from 2-12 IN on virtual simulator platforms! Seven Vehicle Crew Evaluators from Chosen Company (VCEs) graded and evaluated over 70 Stryker Crews on online simulations to ready soldiers across the battalion and effectively prepare them for their final qualifications.

Crews were evaluated on graded tasks such as vehicle identification, burst control, target call outs, and familiarization with their weapon systems. Because of the hard work of your Chosen Few, the battalion stands more firm for gunnery come September!

Chosen Company executed their second emergency deployment readiness excercise last week to evaluate your Chosen Few’s ability to maintain operational readiness.

Weapons Squad, 3rd Platoon continues to dominate physical training within the company, incorporating runs with body armor and carrying heavy loads!

Special congratulations to SPC Howard, SPC Randolph, and SPC Sanchez on their promotion from PFC to SPC! SPC Howard, SPC Randolph, and SPC Sanchez all have been paramount in the success of the company and we couldn’t be more proud!

Chosen Company absolutely ROCKED it this week! In the past five days, your Chosen Few sharpened their proficiency on the bayonet with SGT Farr spearheading the training to conduct a makeshift bayonet assault course. To wrap up the week, your soldiers woke up early, conducted a night movement, and assaulted an objective right before the sunrise!

Chosen Company CARRIED THE BOATS this past week! Another busy week accomplished by your Chosen Few with a successful ex*****on of zeroing machine guns, CBRN training, and qualifying on the M17!

3rd PLT put on CBRN training for the company this week! We learned to detect chemical attacks with our equipment, how to rapidly put on protective kit, and how to decontaminate ourselves!

1st PLT and our Mortars getting after individual and collective tasks to increase our lethality on a daily basis!

2nd PLT, Chosen conducts an M17 qualification range for the Company! The M17 is our sidearm and will protect the individual at close quarters!

Team leaders live by the motto, "Follow Me!" and are vital to any organization's success. SFC Battocletti and CPT Fust teach Troop Leading Procedures to the Team Leaders of the Battalion to better understand the process and help create operation orders.

Chosen Company Soldiers conducted the first tactical vehicle operations in South Korea! After an early morning wake up and an intense emergency readiness drill, your Chosen Few rapidly drew weapons, got their vehicles ready, and drove out of the motor pool- a first in the history of the 2nd Battalion, 12th Infantry Regiment and the 4th Infantry Division.
