Traditional hands-on adjustments always include an in-depth spinal evaluation. You can rely on quick and accurate diagnosis followed by gentle, precise adjustments to restore spinal function and remove nerve impingement that is often the cause of your pain. Extremity adjustments are included as well as adjunctive therapies such as Trigger Point Release and Deep Tissue massage as needed. When appropriate, we will make home and office ergonomic recommendations and advise you on what home therapies to use.
We will never pressure you into an extended treatment plan, and if we are not seeing results as expected, we will work to find out why, or make the appropriate referrals.

Dr. LeDonne has now resumed his regular schedule as of
August 26th.

Dear patients, past, present and future:
Please be aware that the office will be closed August 10 to August 25 (approximately). I am having a Hip Replacement, and will be recovering for the anticipated 2 weeks. My surgeon assures my I will be able to see patients in 2 weeks - we shall see!

Feel free to call or text during that time to make appointments for after the 25th.

I will be taking appointments on Monday 8/8 and Tuesday 8/9 in addition to my regular schedule this Thursday through Sunday.

So often, our physical problems are due to a dysfunctional spine and the resulting nerve impingement. Every cell in our bodies are touched by the nervous system and depend on the proper communication of information from the brain to the body parts, and from the body parts to the brain.

Why is Chiropractic Care so effective?

The human body is a miracle of interlocking systems, controlled by the brain and your nervous system, that are programmed to continuously maintain function and health. Sometimes things occur that interfere with the expression of that programming, resulting in health problems.

Chiropractors focus on functionality whereas, in contrast, medical doctors are focused on pathology. Chiropractors focus on the spine because that is where your Central Nervous System, and the bundles of nerves that sequentially peel off from the spinal cord and exit between the vertebra (called nerve roots), reside. Chiropractors are spinal function experts who understand that dysfunctional vertebra can cause pressure on the nerve roots resulting in inflammation, muscle spasm and pain and a decrease in bodily functions.

Every cell in your body - all the muscles, the organs, the glands and, well, everything, depends on the proper communication between your brain and those parts, and those parts with the brain, to function correctly. This is simply the way you are made.

Whenever a nerve has pressure on it that pressure causes a disruption of the nerve flow, altering its signal and changing the “message” traveling down that nerve. The nerve's target is now getting a scrambled message, and has it's function changed. For example, if that affected nerve is supplying a muscle, it will cause the muscle to lose it's ability to relax, thereby causing increased muscle tone, spasms, and pain. If that affected nerve is supplying an internal organ, that change in signal can depress the organ's ability to fully function. This pressure on the nerve can be the result of a misaligned and dysfunctional vertebrae.
The benefits of Chiropractic Care can go beyond musculo-skeletal problems because of this nervous system connection.

How are subluxations (dysfunctional vertebra) corrected?

After a thorough history of the problem and physical evaluations such as range of motion and/or orthopedic tests, the spine is evaluated. For myself, dysfunctional vertebra (subluxations) are diagnosed primarily by Motion Palpation, a system of gently mobilizing each individual vertebrae to determine the exact type of dysfunction. This technique, refined over 34 years of hands on experience, quickly and accurately determines what is, and is not, moving correctly. The first step in successfully correcting a problem is in accurate diagnosis.

Through this diagnosis the correct technique to best restore function and remove nerve impingement is determined and applied. Effective correction comes from precise diagnosis and accurate chiropractic adjustments. Once the nerve pressure or impingement is removed, your body can go back to doing what it is already programmed to do – maintaining a balanced state of health.
