Associate Professor Doreen E. Martinez has been selected for the Culture of Health Leaders Institute for Racial Healing, an 18-month leadership experience that uses the Truth, Racial Healing and Transformation (TRHT) framework to strengthen the ecosystem of practitioners who are advancing racial and health equity in their work.
Her project for the CoHLI, “Coming to Know Indigenous Knowledges,” focuses on exploring and teaching Indigenous epistemologies’ breadth and depth.

Delilah Lopez (’24), a first-generation adult learner and enrolled member of the Chippewa Cree Tribe on Montana’s Rocky Boy Reservation, graduated with an ethnic studies major and an Indigenous studies minor this past May.
After a very difficult upbringing, Lopez was inspired to go back to school after connecting with Associate Professor Lindsey Schneider. Once on campus, she sought out help from support services and programs, which she credits as a reason for much of her success.
