David Pyle's arts management course “The Perfect Intersection: Art-making as a Way to Learn (and Do) Anything!” provides an interdisciplinary space for first-year students to explore art as a gateway to deeper learning.

Doreen Martinez named to the Culture of Health Leaders Institute for Racial Healing - College of Liberal Arts 09/04/2024

Associate Professor Doreen E. Martinez has been selected for the Culture of Health Leaders Institute for Racial Healing, an 18-month leadership experience that uses the Truth, Racial Healing and Transformation (TRHT) framework to strengthen the ecosystem of practitioners who are advancing racial and health equity in their work.

Her project for the CoHLI, “Coming to Know Indigenous Knowledges,” focuses on exploring and teaching Indigenous epistemologies’ breadth and depth.

Doreen Martinez named to the Culture of Health Leaders Institute for Racial Healing - College of Liberal Arts The Culture of Health Leaders Institute for Racial Healing, a program of the National Collaborative for Health Equity funded by the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation, has selected Colorado State University faculty member Doreen E. Martinez to join its third national cohort.

The Gregory Allicar Museum of Art at Colorado State University will host the exhibition — “3óóxoneeʼnohoʼóoóyóóʼ /Ho’honáá’e Tsé’amoo’ėse: Art of the Rocky Mountain Homelands of the Hinono’eino’ and Tsétsėhéstȧhese Nations” — in the museum’s Griffin Foundation Gallery, Aug. 29 to Dec. 15, 2024.

Delilah Lopez (’24), a first-generation adult learner and enrolled member of the Chippewa Cree Tribe on Montana’s Rocky Boy Reservation, graduated with an ethnic studies major and an Indigenous studies minor this past May.

After a very difficult upbringing, Lopez was inspired to go back to school after connecting with Associate Professor Lindsey Schneider. Once on campus, she sought out help from support services and programs, which she credits as a reason for much of her success.

Interdisciplinary Liberal Arts alum Gian Clavell (B.A. '16) is making his Olympic debut after helping Puerto Rico's men's basketball team qualify for the games earlier this month. 🇵🇷 It is the first time Puerto Rico has made the Olympics for men's basketball since 2004.

Basketball pool play starts tomorrow, July 27.
