We are breaking down the different annuity options out there. First up ▶️ FIXED ANNUITIES

With fixed annuities, you make one or several payments to an annuity company, which in turn, promises to pay you a fixed return on your contributions no matter how markets are performing.

What are the perks of a fixed annuity? They are considered one of the most basic types of annuity contracts and offer a simple yet dependable source of investment income for your retirement plan.

What is an annuity? Simply put, it is a contract that requires regular payments for more than one full year to the person entitled to receive the payments (annuitant). 📆 Annuities can be purchased by an individual or with the help of the individual’s employer. There are several different options when it comes to annuities, and we understand it can be overwhelming.

Wondering what the differences are between a Roth IRA and a traditional IRA? Let’s take a look If you’re ready to learn more - connect with us today! https://1l.ink/G35PG84

07/29/2023

Do you want to start planning for the future but aren’t sure where to start? 📆 We understand - it can be overwhelming! 😧 Here is a simple breakdown to get you on the right path:

Age 50 ➡️ You are eligible to make catch-up contributions to 401(k)s or IRAs. In 2023, that is an extra $6,500 to your 401(k) plus $1,000 to your IRA.
Age 55 ➡️ If you are eligible to participate in a health savings account (HSA), you are entitled to $1K in catch-up contributions.
Age 59 1/2 ➡️ You can roll over your 401(k) into an IRA plus you qualify to make withdraws from your 401(k) and IRA without being penalized.
Age 62 ➡️ This is the earliest age you are eligible to sign up for Social Security, but it will result in a lifelong reduction of your monthly payments.
Age 65 ➡️ You are eligible for Medicare
Age 70 ➡️ It's time to start claiming Social Security if you haven't already. Delayed retirement credits stop accruing, so there is no longer a financial gain in holding off.
Age 73 ➡️ This is when required minimum distributions, or RMDs, kick in on traditional IRAs and pre-tax money in 401(k)s. You can always withdraw more than the required minimum. Keep in mind these withdraws will be included in your taxable income unless it has already been taxed or can be received tax-free. RMDs do not apply to Roth IRAs or non-qualified accounts.

🪺 Diversify your portfolio - Buy stocks with large and small companies, invest in an IRA, contribute to your 401k

The maximum contribution IRA has increased to $6,500 in 2023, which means it's time to adjust your monthly contributions to account for the extra $500.

Still haven't maxed out your 2022 contributions? No worries. You have until April 18th to contribute $6,000 for 2022.

02/14/2023

Happy Valentine's Day! Be sure you are taking care of your loved ones by having a will or trust and an adequate life insurance policy in place.

01/27/2023

The age for required minimum distributions (RMD) has been increased from age 72 to 73 for those born in the years 1951-1959 and to age 75 for those born in 1960 or later.

01/24/2023

Starting in January 2024, there are new guidelines for 529 plans allowing funds to be rolled over into a Roth IRA for the student. The rollover is tax and penalty free for 529 plans that have been in place for at least 15 years. The rollover amount per year will be the same as the contribution limit for Roth IRA and the lifetime contribution limit is $35,000.

What are the benefits of this new rollover? Many individuals who have a 529 plan or have considered opening a 529 plan are concerned that their children might not go to college resulting in a loss of saved funds. Rolling over these funds into a Roth IRA ensures these funds won't go to waste. Get started today - you need to have the 529 plan in place for 15 years! https://1l.ink/QGMRKSG
