The Transportation Office follows the same schedule as Main Campus and will be closed starting at noon today (3-13) for Spring Break for the rest of the week!

Iowa Central Transportation is at Storm Lake High School today with the Iowa Motor Truck Association (IMTA) talking to students about the importance of trucking and career possibilities that are available to them!

🚛🚙🚜🚗🛞 Thank you to the Diesel Technology, Auto Collision Technology and Automotive Technology Programs for joining us at the Transportation Technology Center for a fun morning last week hosting area high school students!

The 4 departments were able to show the high school students some different programs available to them at Iowa Central, all pertaining to the world of Transportation!

A special thanks to area businesses, KC Nielsen and New Coop, that stopped by to showcase careers that are available after the education received here at Iowa Central.

Did you know that along with our longer CDL Courses, Iowa Central Transportation also offers Class A, Class B, Passenger and School Bus CDL training in a Train and Test course, which is perfect for experienced students and great for employers! 👍

🚛Train and Test is meant for those who are qualified and know how to drive.

The Train and Test is one day of training and DOT testing on a separate day. This requires students to already know how to shift (if doing Manual), back a trailer (if doing Class A) and drive without much instruction. The day of training will satisfy the ELDT Behind-the-Wheel requirements and prepare students for the skills testing, which we also do at our facility as 3rd Party DOT Testers.

Students must have their CDL Permit and students will complete ELDT Theory online through Iowa Central. Contact Kelsey for more information! 515-574-1965

1-3 Week Customized Refreshers, for Class A CDL holders who have been out of the truck and need to brush up on their skills- topics covered dependent on the student’s needs!

💥Driver’s Education Fall Night Class DATE CHANGE: October 17 – December 15, 2023. 💥

Each session includes 30 hours of classroom instruction (face-to-face and online hybrid) and 6 hours of drive time! Dates/ times for the face-to-face classroom instruction are sent to the student/ parent/ guardian.

Classroom face-to-face will meet 5:45 – 7:45pm on October 17 & 19 ONLY. Remaining classroom hours are online. 6 hours of drive time are also required.
