4.6 Crown Vics will be racing for $500 and 5' tall trophy!

After weeks of consideration, we are saddened to announce the cancellation of our 8-24-2024 season championship race due to a scheduling conflict.

We appreciate all of the ideas and suggestions as we have considered every option. There is no solution that everyone will be happy with, but we feel this is best for our local racers, fans and staff.

Hamilton County Speedway has offered support and suggested we move our Season Championship night to 9-14-2024. That date has the least amount of conflicts with other events in the area.

We will be running all of our weekly classes, plus the American Made Late Models. Unfortunately, the Karl Chevrolet Dirt Trucks will not be in attendance. We will be running a Special Event for our 4.6 Crown Vic drivers, with an increased purse.

We appreciate all of our drivers, crews, fans and employees that have supported Sports Park Raceway and we hope you all understand this difficult decision.

Come on out to Sports Park Raceway for Round 4 of the Iowa Moto Series hosted by FDMX this weekend! There is practice on Saturday (17th) and racing on Sunday (18th).

The Grandstand Concession Stand will be open on Saturday AND Sunday! Make sure you stop and see Cheri and her crew and get some delicious food and drinks!

We do not have circle dirt track races this weekend, but we do have another kind of exciting dirt racing to enjoy!

We want to welcome FDMX out to Sports Park Raceway this weekend for Round 4 of the Iowa Moto Series!

Tyler "Traffic Cone" Crimmins won the Matt's Tire Service USRA Tuners and did a fantastic "dougnut" in front of a stellar crowd to earn himself an extra $100.

John Hunnell had a close race to come out victorious in The Nostalgia Dirt Series Vintage Stock Car class.

Dan Drury ran multiple lines to edge out the other drivers in the United Plant Services USRA Modifieds.

Ty Griffith moved up NINE spots to claim the White Transfer & Storage USRA B-Mods.

Nicholas "Slick Nick" Hogan scored another victory in the SPR 4.6 Crown Vic class proving Married life has been good to him.

Jerid Ratzke won in convincing fashion in the American Made Late Model Series.

Bill Crimmins moved up several spots while running the low line to edge out all others in the Marsh Concrete USRA Stock Car division.

Dylan Nelson pocketed a cool $1000 cash to win the Pickett Salvage USRA Hobby Stocks. He added to his winnings ($200) by piloting an IMCA legal car, plus did a show stopping "dougnut" in front of an excited crowd to add another $100 to his take home pay.

Kids Night on August 3rd was a Huge success!! 80 PLUS bikes. 60 Plus Scooters, T-Shirts, Hats, Candy, Frisbees, and food were given away to a MASSIVE crowd of kids.

We appreciate everything you've done!

Sports Park Raceway would like to give a special thanks to FDMX, Platinum Construction & Demo LLC, Justin Wallace and Zach Wallace for their generous donations to Kids Night by KHI Solutions this past Saturday.

We would also like to take this opportunity to promote FDMX's Upcoming Motocross event starting on August 16-18th. As many of you know the "West Side" of the Sports Park Raceway facility has undergone extensive renovation to Host the upcoming Iowa Moto AMA motocross event. The Circle Track at Sports Park Raceway will be unaffected this year, as the motocross race will be held on the west side of the property. A "Permanent" motocross track is nearing completion in that area, and will serve as host to the upcoming motocross race and practice events. The parking lots and concession stand area will continue to be utilized, however the famed 1/2 mile speedway will sit idle during motocross events.

We are excited to add another form of motorsports excitement to Sports Park Raceway. Fort Dodge Iowa has a rich history of motocross notoriety. Multiple Stars in Motocross/SuperCross have grown and developed in this area and we are honored to have that tradition continue at the Sports Park Facility.
