Roaster for chestnuts ‘and the like’ – filed September 19th, 1928
Frankly, the name of this amazing Thanksgiving invention is pure genius. It truly deserves to have been a successful way back in the 20's when the patent was filed. Unless you haven't guessed we’re talking about an invention that "relates to improvements in roasters especially adapted for use in roasting chestnuts and the like… ".
According to the inventor, the current process of roasting chestnuts (and the like) was far from efficient. Not to mention methods for recovering said roasted nuts. What’s your favorite nut?
Many times corporations are focused on putting out fires, so to speak. Spending resources and energy to prevent something bad from happening. But that leaves little room for innovation. If innovation is being shuffled to the side from inside the company, that leaves a perfect opening for you, the independent inventor from the outside. Create to Innovate.
Get out there and tackle it. Recharge, Refresh, Renew.

We’re going back into one of the *best* decades known to showcase a Invention (1990)
Inventor, Ron Dubren teamed up with engineer Greg Hyman to create a stuffed animal that would laugh when someone tickled it. The laughing technology was the piece that was entitled for patent protection.
Although that toy was never successful, Dubren's idea lived on. In ‘96, the Tyco toy company asked to use Dubren's technology to create a doll with the character of Elmo from Sesame Street.
Tickle Me Elmo was born and became one of the most popular children's toys-it was even named the most desired toy of the ‘96 shopping season. Suffice to say that inventor, Dubren is that Elmo as made history in the "100 Greatest Toys of All Time "from TIME magazine. While Dubren has been tight-lipped on how much he made for this invention, he has said that the Elmo doll has made the Dubrens “financially freer than we’ve ever been.

Happy national lipstick day! The term “lipstick” wasn’t officially coined until the year 1880, although lip coloring has existed for centuries before 💋
Records also indicate that the first lipstick was manufactured commercially in 1884. Then the industry took a big step towards modernization to be the recognizable form it is today thanks in part to inventor Maurice Levy who was responsible for creating the "tube" lipstick is contained in making it a portable item to carry. In 1915, he invented the metal tube container for lipstick, coining it the "Levy Tube" that we still use today 👏🏻
