Three Palms Cove - Fort Lauderdale - Visit Florida near the sea & beach

Whenever guests and family are in town, we love recommending local, fun, quality places to eat, , we feel, is one of those places.

It is our favorite hidden gem coffee shop, tucked away down a side street, in the city of Wilton Manors, serving breakfast and brunch/lunch. This was our go to place (and still is) when we moved to Fort Lauderdale. It's an oasis with its lush outdoor seating space where you're amongst trees within a garden surrounded by whimsical, eclectic finds procured by the friendly and creative owners.

Menu offerings are delicious with full of flavor and healthy options such their Slicers which are open faced sandwiches on tuscan bread; an assortment of vegetarian and meat Pizzetas (mini pizza 9", 4 slices), their freshly made waffles with fresh fruit, gorgeous organic green salads, and so much more.

They have a wide range of coffees that are simply outstanding. They roast their own and offer many unique drinks such as my husband's favorite, the Bulletproof coffee (espresso, almond or coconut milk, turmeric, cinnamon, coconut oil, grass fed ghee, brown sugar, condensed milk).

I usually go for their refreshing cold teas such as Passion Fruit or Berry Berry beautifully served in a mason jar.

So when visiting Fort Lauderdale, in the Wilton Manors area, go there! This special place brings us so much joy, and we know it will do the same for you.

We're back at the beach! And so wonderful to see again beachgoers with their family, friends, and ecstatic dogs racing up and down the shoreline.⁣

It has been a place where we run our toes through the sand, a place where we've talked of our future plans and business endeavors. A place that reminds us of the life changing move we made, now making Fort Lauderdale our home. ⁣

It's a place where we've enjoyed sunrises, and in the evening the beauty of the moon, the light of distant ships, and the palm trees wave in the breeze and feeling comforted by the dimly lit homes nearby.⁣

An ideal time to be there is after six o'clock where the sun is not as intense but still lighting your afternoon making it easier to go for run, or just walking along the shore. ⁣

Before you know it, the sun begins its descent down the horizon, gifting you an awe inspiring violet hue filling the sky with a soft purple glow.⁣
⁣
Have you enjoyed late afternoon walks and talks at the beach?

Great news! South Pointe Park and its beach is now open to the public! This pic was taken several months ago with some wonderful guests staying at our vacation rental. We took them for a tour of the quintessential areas of South Florida, and they were so taken by the colorful array of lifeguard stations at South Pointe Beach (Miami). This beach is one of the best hidden gems located in the prime area at the southernmost point of South Beach with the most breathtaking aqua blue waters. ⁣

The park portion of South Pointe is beautifully maintained with sitting areas, bike paths and eateries to stop and get a bite. Its boardwalk gives you the timeless view of the jetty with the Port of Miami in the background. You also get to watch the cruise ships and boat tours depart & arrive. ⁣
⁣
So when in town, we highly recommend making your way down to South Pointe.

Up for standup paddle boarding (SUP)? Yes, is open for business, and locals & visitors alike are actually enjoying the outdoors, keeping active and positive during these times.

They're only 5 minutes from our vacation rental which we recently visited and saw enthusiastic customers boarding their rented paddle boards heading to the solo trails! A fantastic way of exploring Fort Lauderdale's canals, seeing the bird wildlife, mangroves, and keeping fit!

Due to COVID-19, customers are restricted from entering the shop due to social distancing policies, however, an experienced staff member will launch you off the dock which is right outside the shop. Restrooms and cubbyholes are located outside for you to store your shoes or keys while you're on the water.

Experience the peaceful solitude of paddling solo (bring your canine), enjoy time with family, or your significant other.

It was a glorious day and blading on the promenade along Fort Lauderdale Beach Blvd. earlier this year. When you’re able to travel again, come visit so you too can take in the splendor of this area with natural beauty and so much to do. And stay at our place as we’re only 10 minutes away from the beach.
