The best things can often be found in your own backyard, you only need to know where to look. In our relentless quest for adventure, we decided to look inwards, not outwards. Where could we go within the US that wouldn’t break the bank but offered divine relaxation? We found it…👀

We embarked on our very first voyage to the US Virgin Islands. We came for the ease of travel; we stayed for a slice of Caribbean paradise. St. Thomas and St. John are U.S. territories, so there were no passport or covid requirements. The $150 roundtrip flights didn’t hurt either. Wherever you go, soak in the dreamy beaches, sweeping ocean views, and intoxicating reggae rhythms.

We basked in the shimmering waters of Magen’s Bay, swam with sea turtles in Brewers Bay, and floated in the preposterously blue beach at Trunk Bay. At the time, we were bumping beachy French electronic music which set a laissez-faire tone for the trip. We found our Paradis Bleu. 🏝

Cuba was a folkloric adventure. Guided by 2 Cubans in a 1942 Plymouth, we traversed the beautiful countryside of Viñales, pristine beaches of Varadero, preserved colonial town of Trinidad, and the cultural epicenter that is Havana. 🚙

Our senses were enraptured by all the island had to offer. The rumba, salsa, and reggaeton filled our eardrums and fueled our love for Latin music. Complemented by the places and people, Cuba offers a one-of-a-kind authentic experience.
