On this , the U.S. Coast Guard Academy pays tribute to the fallen heroes who served with courage and dedication. Their legacy inspires us to uphold the highest standards of duty and service. We are forever grateful.

Yesterday, the crew of U.S. Coast Guard Auxiliary vessel PlayRound assisted two kite surfers while providing safety zone support, alongside U.S. Coast Guard Station Miami Beach, during the Hyundai Air & Sea Show. To avoid potential danger from the increase in boat traffic departing the show, PlayRound’s crew brought the kite surfers on board where they were transferred to a safer location off Virginia Key.
