Notice to all of our customers and friends:
We have completely moved out of the shop. Many good Diamond Marine and Mercury Racing parts are in storage and need to be organised and inventoried. We are in no rush to do this just yet. The best way to tell us what you are looking for is e-mail to [email protected]. I have been printing the requests and placing them in a binder for future consideration. We probably will be listing them on line as well.
Let's all stay safe .Hope to see many of you sometime soon on the water.

Notice to all Diamond Marine customers, We would like to tell you some bittersweet news. After serving the Mercury HI Performance Outboard industry for 33 years we have decided that it was time to close the shop and retire. Through the years we have created an amazing customer base with many friendships along the way. It is hard to put a number on how many boats we were instrumental in putting into the winner's circle all over the world, those were the Monday morning phone calls that we always enjoyed. We want to thank all of our customers for their loyalty and support that they have given us throughout the years. We truly appreciate it. Now we would like to let everyone know what is next for us. At this time we are in the process of liquidating all machinery as well as a vast inventory of used Merc Racing parts. We will not make a list due to the quantity of the items. If you are looking for items just call us at 954 525 2600 and we will see if we have it. Leave a message if necessary. We will be making a list of requests. You can come to the shop to view the equipment and parts if you like. We plan a total liquidation of the contents by March 22nd. Thanks again and we hope to see you in the future. Joe and Marty Signorelli.
Be sure to call Jolie at Brucato Power for your next ecu. (Acu) 919-234-1776. Great product and customer service
Final break in and test for 2019 today. Thank you to all of our customers for allowing us to keep your "little stinkers" running hard.
Finding out what a new 1992 Mariner Racing 260 is all about in the Long Island dyno room. Probably taken in winter 1992
My office all this week
Doing our part to keep the 2 strokes alive.
Seen here are Joe Sig and Gary B. on Gary's new 32' Victory Cat. Built in Dubai, this all carbon fiber masterpiece will be racing at the season opener in Cocoa Beach this weekend. As usual, TNT did an outstanding rig/prep on this FJ Propeller ride.
Yesterday marks our 23rd year in Fort Lauderdale. Just found these photos of the shop in Farmingdale, L. I. around 1987.
Recently found some 35mm slides taken 40 years ago. Some quick calculations puts us at 22 and 26 years old.
Got Dennis' new S. T. V. out today. All went perfectly. Too breezy for full pass.

2.5 ROS 280s alive and kicking butt in Europe. Congratulations to Eduardo and Norberto for their back to back European Championship wins in Venice and Naples, Italy. The team hails from Barcelona, Spain. Great season guys!
Congratulations to David Pou for his wins Saturday and Sunday at the O. D. B. A. World Championship in Jasper, Tennessee. We have had the pleasure of working with him since we were in N. Y. 20+ years ago. Proud to have him on "Team Diamond"!
This center casting was brand new when it broke on it's first offshore race. Massive damage from top to bottom has been repaired.
Dennis V. spent this past week at the shop rigging his new River Rocket. It will surely be a slick ride.
Here are some photos of our upgrade and repair for the 2.5L 15" center swivel castings. These castings were designed for the lightweight 2.5s but are now used with the 3.2L 15" conversion and 15" X-CAT Verados. Pricing is $475.00 each for the upgrade and $950.00 for the repair and upgrade. No painting included .
Thank you Jacob Melley for this photo of your Dad's favorite Hot Rod. That was one fast 28 Skater
Some more recent 15" center casting repairs and new 300xs 20" preventive work.
Diamond Marine has joined the sponsor list once again this year. Joe and Marty Signorelli are a huge asset to the outboard racing community (both drag and offshore) letβs give these guys a hand for help keeping this sport alive.
The first Mariner Hi Performance brochure back in 1991
Here is one for the "machine heads" out there. With cnc machines such a common place, we remember that before those were tape readers and before those were True-Trace mills like our three headed beast. They had a hydraulic stylus that followed a pattern and moved the X and Y axis accordingly. What a wonderment to be able to mill a perfect circle! This old photo shows Joe lightening pistons. We built custom cylinder sleeves and lightweight flywheels on it as well. We sold it in 1998 to make room for the Kuraki cnc mill.
Who remembers this article on Dennis' sprint deck S. T. V. featured in Hot Boat Magazine back in 1992? We rigged it for him in 1989 with a modified 2.4 Bridgeport that included our digital ecu. It buried a 125 m.p.h. Medallion speedometer on it's first day out. He ran it for many years in the Keys and throughout Florida. O. D. B. A. president Steve Kimble still runs it today powered by one of our River Race 280's. Also pictured is one of the monthly ads that we used to run promoting the new 2.5 Mariners and S. T. V. boats.
Great way to start the season. First place and brought it home in one piece. Congratulations Gary and Jimmie. Well done!
Check out the cars in the final four! Doesn't get any better than this.
Drag Racing 1983 NHRA World Finals PRO STOCK Semi Finals Joe Jepone Jr vs Lee Shepherd; Warren Johnson vs Bob Glidden
A surprising amount of people responded to our last post. Many fondly remember spending their Sundays at their local drag strip or traveling to a N. H. R. A. National Event. I was reminded that tomorrow marks six years since the passing of Bill "Grumpy" Jenkins. Bill was the recognized creator of the Pro Stock class. Here are a few photos showing the building of "Grumpy's Toy" XVII, 1983 Camaro at our Long Island shop. Bill, Joe Lepone Jr., and Steve Johns were always a pleasure to be around both on and off the race track. Good times, good racing.
Yet another memorable Gatornationals. Now this was bizarre, walking around inspecting all of the Pro Stock team's cars with NHRA officials while the owners look on!!
With the NHRA Gatornationals being held this coming weekend, I got thinking about some of the good times that we had there through the years. Certainly one of the best was in 1986 when one of our Pro Stock cars won the event. It qualified #2 (7.508) so close to Bob Glidden's #1 (7.497) That pass of Bob's remained the Pro Stock low e.t of the event. Here are a few pictures of the build :
