We are so excited to have Simone Alston at Dance U! This will be a commercial hip hop class open to dancers ages 9-adult. Register under Bonus Classes/Auditions, guest dancers welcome. April 14 7-8:30pm, $35.

Freshly off Beyonce’s Renaissance World Tour, Simone is based in Los Angeles working in television, film, award shows, and live performances.

Simone Alston was born and raised in Columbia, South Carolina. She always loved to dance but didn’t attend her first dance class until it was offered at her high school. From there, the world of dance was opened to her—she later joined the dance team and became co-captain her first year on the team. During college, Simone continued her training under Dale Lam at the University of South Carolina and was a part of Unbound Dance Company led by Caroline Lewis-Jones. She then completed two seasons with the NBA Charlotte Hornets Dance Team. Simone realized she wanted to further her dance career and moved to Atlanta to pursue her dreams of becoming a professional dancer.

Simone wants to inspire dancers to pursue their passion—she believes it is never too late to start your own journey.

So proud of the FMDT on another successful weekend of competition. This weekend we competed at the Cougarette Classic in Charleston! We are bringing home 2nd place in Pom and 2nd place in Jazz, as well as Best Costume for our Jazz! And how about these beautiful FMDT Alumni?!?!? So excited to see each of your faces this weekend!!!

Come dance with us in February! We are so excited to bring in our favorite hip hop queen (and UDA national champion choreographer🤩) next month! This event is open to 9th grade and up; registration opens this Monday, January 22!
