We’re proud to announce Jason Crouch as our August Tech of the Month!

Working as a locksmith for over 25 years, Jason’s journey to where he is today began with a small newspaper ad he responded to coming out of high school. After impressing in his interview, Jason quickly showcased his mechanical skills and got the job at a small shop in Kansas—a place he learned the basics of the locksmith trade.

Shortly after, Jason was named one of the youngest apprentices in the country in a publication by The Locksmith Ledger and honed his skills, then branching out to work in the access control industry for three years. Jason would later join Fortress—a Cincinnati company he stayed with for over 14 years.

Accompanying his expertise, Jason’s mindset facing hardships is what sets him apart. “I try to attack the most difficult part of the project first. That’s like my secret weapon that I tell everybody because the part that everybody dreads, the big, hard, daunting task or whatever you just know is gonna be a challenge.”

We’re proud to begin Pride Month by celebrating our Tech of the Month, Sarah Hadden!

Sarah started as a technician with our Chicago team three years ago, but her continued passion for mentoring has helped her grow into a lead technician and, more recently, into a manager. Her journey as a locksmith started with a book, Locksmithing 101, and took her straight to her own home’s lock which she rekeyed on that very same day.

“I loved it. I wanted to keep learning and learn more about what the security field had to offer. I love that I’m still learning new things and building my knowledge, but my favorite thing has always been training other people. It’s been a dream of mine to take on an apprentice and help build them up and grow” said Sarah.

We’re extremely proud of the journey that Sarah has been on these past three years with our family. Congratulations, Sarah, and thank you for all you do for the local community and the next generation of technicians.

Becoming a security specialist wasn’t just a job for our April Tech of the Month, Angel Febles – It also symbolized turning a new leaf. This month, we’re shining a spotlight on Angel who joined our Tampa Central team 2 years ago.

Angel’s journey as a technician began at 17 years old with a neighbor who recognized potential in him and “guided him in the right direction”. Throughout his life and after over two decades of service with The Marines, Angel always found his way back to locksmithing. As he honed his craft, he discovered a passion for the tactile art of locksmithing, particularly in the realm of skeleton keys, where precision and manual skill reign supreme. Yet, his journey doesn't end with the present. Currently under the guidance of our Tampa Central team, Jeff and Diego, Angel is delving into the intricacies of access control and wiring, broadening his expertise beyond locks and keys.

Congratulations, Angel! We’re thrilled to have you on our team to help secure communities across the Tampa Central region!
