Everyone has low times in their lives. It is how we navigate these times that determine the length, severity, and outcome.

With a positive mindset and solution based thinking these lows are only temporary and great lessons can be learned from them.

These past couple months have been very challenging for me. I am a new empty nester, my business is slow, finances are tight, and there are days that I struggle with staying positive.

How do I navigate this to over come it?

I keep my internal dialog in check, some days this looks like saying "This too shall pass. I can do this!" Or "I reject that negative thought! I am more than enough!" over one over until the negative thoughts subside.

I stay active even when I want to curl in a ball under the covers.

I increase the amount of times I pray and meditate each day.

I communicate where I am at with my partner and ask for what I need. (Usually more patience)

Instead of scrolling social media or listening to TV or radio, I listen to inspirational podcasts and read books. Currently I am listening to The Secrets of a Millionaire Mindset on audible.

I do something I enjoy with my hands like a woodworking project or working with my plants in my yard.

I journal more and list all the things I am grateful for in my life.

I push myself to complete at least one thing on my need to do list even if it's something small so that at the end of the day I can reward brain with an accomplishment.

These are just a few examples of things to do to help stay positive, and moving forward even when a season is challenging and long.

This will also make the next season of easy all that more rewarding
