Good afternoon beautiful people! I have thought long and hard about this post and figured it was time and couldn’t hurt so here goes. It seems that in the 4 decades I’ve been doing hair that a few of my clients have aged out and because of that I am now slower than I have been the past few years. Working in a Salon studio atmosphere doesn’t help much as the walk ins are close to none or very minimal. I have done social media some and love word of mouth however those avenues don’t always work. I do awesome work (long and short hair! Medium too!) and love color, especially blondes. I’m still working two jobs to make ends meet and would never have guessed that I would be working two jobs in my 60’s. I would love to solely be at my main job but still haven’t recouped the clientele I lost from COVID or breaking my thumb. So if anyone is looking for a new awesome stylist or maybe knows someone that is, please feel free to share my info, it would be totally appreciated. Thanks so much!

Happy Memorial Day! So here’s a short story that somewhat involves hair.
It’s funny that people assume that just because you do hair for a living that your also a pet groomer as when I tell people I have Re*****on groomed and they wonder why I don’t do it myself as I cut hair, that’s when I inform them that I only cut hair , on people’s heads and normally not on or around genitalia (dogs)😶. That usually ends the conversation (like my cop a feel charge) IYKYK🤣, so anyways on with the story, y’all know I’ve been growing out my beard since October, I actually achieved my goal in the length and look and I was able to keep it up myself until a certain length, I love to tell stories about being “shamed” as I have been skinny shamed , beard shamed and even dirty car shamed! LOL, so I normally don’t give a 💩about what people say about my beard but one day last week a comment kind of got to me and I was like eff it. I had just payed a few weeks ago to get it reshaped and did not want to spend 💲to get it reshaped a little shorter , so I figured I could do it, I watched a video by a well known Canadian barber and set upon the trim, well I did a little bit and was hmmmmm, not totally happy but dealt with it, well I kept going in the bathroom and looking at it and taking a little more off here and there and finally said egg again as by now it wasn’t sad, so I just took the clippers with a guard(everything was freehand, No guard before) and shaved it down with a #6. I did feel like crying lol, but told myself that’s silly and it will grow back. Now everyone who did not like it before likes it now because of the length, I just shrug my shoulders and tell them I’m starting over and there like “oh”, as you see this point in my life it is about me now, so my hair , my clothes, my facial hair , any jewelry I might want to wear well now this is all my authentic self, but I digress, so just because I’m an awesome cosmetologist doesn’t mean I can do everything, and I don’t want to, so I’ll leave it up to the professionals, like the awesome barbers and pet groomers! Hello my friends , so after all that and making a new page, I was able to find this original one and get it back, so I will delete the new one since this one was created in 2009. I know I need to be better about posting , that will give me something to work on. Remember I kindly accept referrals so that I don’t have to work my second job until I die😂🤣😶, anyways……Happy New Year, thanks and much love to those who still sit in my chair and let me hone my craft on them. Grateful to be busy the last few days! My mystery lady….Angela Harney , my dentist as well, she’s awesome! I have some openings next week, call or text.

It’s a beautiful day, headed to work, happy to not be in so much pain from my shoulder, just a slight twinge, I’m ready to do some hair on some beautiful people!

It’s a beautiful day today, yes I am saying that about this rainy morning, I have been without proper air at my apt for about a week, the majority of the house has been 90 and above, that’s why I look like hell, no sleep, however I am getting it installed today so it is a beautiful day to me, I’m exhausted, I need some time away, remember to take care of yourself mentally and physically. Love to all.

I’ll take a better pic later of my hair color, however this post has a different tone to it, just to remind yourself, always be yourself, always, look how you want, dress how you want, wear your hair how you want, who gives a crap about what other people say, in my opinion if they don’t pay your rent they have no say, live your life, be happy, be YOURSELF, after 11 years of wanting to please, that included my appearance, at 61 I’m reclaiming myself and my individuality, I will dress and look how I want, I will emote how I feel(don’t I anyway) and I will be me, life is to short to make ourselves unhappy for others because we are people pleasers. So, accept love, love back, be kind, give out compliments and say thank you when you are given one, it’s taken me a long time but I’m there, I’m only missing one thing, and I know soon I will find it. Have a blessed Sunday and have great hair days as well.

Perms are back! Who does perms? I do perms. Come get one.

Ok, I now have to start working on this page as I lost my Jared the stylist page, not been posting lately as I have been a little stressed on finding a place to move to by the end of February, however I am still working and am currently accepting new clients.
