The West Coast League (WCL) is thrilled to announce that the 2024 All-Star Game will be broadcast live on MLB Network, MLB.TV, MLB.com, and the MLB App on Wednesday, July 17, beginning at 6:30 PM Pacific Time.

Fans can look forward to an exciting evening of baseball, featuring the league’s top players and future stars. The broadcast will showcase the expertise of renowned on-air talent, including Tyler Maun (play-by-play), Ryan Rowland-Smith (analyst), and MLB Pipeline’s Sam Dykstra (analyst). Their extensive knowledge and passion for the game promise to deliver an engaging and insightful viewing experience.

“We’ve already seen Jarren Duran, Steven Kwan, Adley Rutschman, Tarik Skubal, and Tyler Anderson play in the West Coast League,” said Dykstra, “on their way to becoming 2024 MLB All-Stars. I can’t wait until next Wednesday, when we’ll help our audience get a closer look at this year’s batch of West Coast Leaguers who could follow similar paths to Major League stardom.”

In addition, WCL Commissioner Rob Neyer will join the broadcast during the game, along with other notable figures from the world of baseball. This will provide viewers with unique perspectives and in-depth commentary on the action on the field.

The Umpire Placement Course along with the Frontier League, is proud to announce that John White has been named Umpire Supervisor of the Frontier League, an MLB Professional Partner League. As Umpire Supervisor, John will be handling all umpire operations in the Frontier League.

UPC will hold its annual Umpire Placement Course (UPC), from February 2-11 2024, at the Lawnwood Baseball Complex in Fort Pierce, FL. The Umpire Placement Course trains and places umpires into the top MLB Partner Leagues and premiere Summer Collegiate Leagues across North America. In the last five seasons, over 50 umpires who have worked in a UPC affiliated partner league have been hired by MLB to begin careers in Minor League Baseball.

Words cannot describe the loss. Conor was a valued long-time member of the NWL Umpire Staff, and a student at UPC over the last 5 years. To see him reach professional baseball in the American Association, attend Wendelstedt Umpire School, work a Division II Conference Tournament, and fulfill his dream of becoming a Division I umpire this year were humbling to watch. His hard work and dedication to our craft never went unnoticed. He was just scratching the surface on his full potential. UPC is proud to announce that Clint Fagan has been added to our instruction staff for 2023. Clint joined MiLB Umpire Development in 2018 to observe, instruct and evaluate Minor League Baseball umpires. Prior to joining Minor League Baseball Umpire Development in 2018, he umpired the World Baseball Classic, Pacific Coast League, International League, Texas League, Eastern League, Florida State League, Hawaiian League, Midwest League, Pioneer League, Venezuelan Winter League, Colombian Winter League, Arizona Fall League, Florida and Arizona Instructional Leagues. He also umpired part time in the Major Leagues during his eight years at the Triple-A level, working 522 games. He holds a Bachelors Degree in Business Administration from the University of Houston as well as a Masters in Business Administration from the University of Phoenix. Fagan resides in Georgetown, Texas with his wife, Paige, his daughter, Addison, and son, Hudson.

His leadership, experience on-field and wealth of knowledge in the 3-Umpire system will help all students who attend UPC.
