MYTH #2:
"OLAPLEX can over-bond your hair, causing it to break or fall off"
False! There is no such thing as “over-bonding” the hair. This likely is related to the myth listed above, that OLAPLEX is a protein treatment. Since we already debunked that myth, we are happy to debunk this one as well. OLAPLEX cannot be overused, and in fact, since hair is subjected to damage on a regular basis, it is a good idea to use OLAPLEX regularly to keep the hair at its best.

In the information age in which we find ourselves, we are receiving messages constantly. This can be helpful, but it can also be tricky when it comes to receiving information that is actually credible. Let’s take a look at some OLAPLEX myths and set them straight!
MYTH #1:
"OLAPLEX is a protein treatment"
False. OLAPLEX uses a patented ingredient called Bis-Aminopropyl Diglycol Dimaleate to relink broken disulfide bonds within the hair. It is a completely unique technology, and definitely not a protein treatment.

I do think or at least I hope this is a misconception from a small minority of clients when booking appts.

I’ve had it happen to me a few times over the last few years where a new client thinks because they don’t confirm, I automatically know she isn’t coming. I’ve also had a lot clients who’ve not confirmed and then shown up. So see how it gets sticky? If I had assumed she canceled because she didn’t confirm and filled her spot she’d have been upset.

Let me speak for myself here, as your stylist … and I’m not saying this in a rude way…I’m saying this as honestly and helpfully as I can on the internet.

I don’t care if you have to cancel.
I don’t care what the reason is.
I don’t even need one.
I won’t ask for one.
I just NEED to know if you’re coming or not in a reasonable amount of time that gives me the opportunity to offer that slot to someone who’s praying you cancel so THEY can come in!!

Make someone’s day and cancel today 🥰 and give your stylist a chance to fill the spot.

I’m not talking about sickness or emergencies we understand that those happen on both sides but it shouldn’t be the norm.

Personally, my system sends out a confirmation 72 hours ahead of time. I haven’t figured out yet how to add a cancel button. I’m working on it. I’ve been told it’s possible and have done everything everyone has suggested to no avail.

But most stylists have a cancellation option if not please just contact them and cancel with at least 24 hours but ideally 48-72 hours.

Remember a time when you were praying a spot would open up so you could get in before a big event? That only happens when people let us know in advance they can’t make it. Be THAT client who makes someone else’s day because you were thoughtful enough to cancel 😘

Booking is challenging for us. Like really challenging .. so help us help you make someone else’s day and cancel with notice.

That’s it .. it’s that simple.
