Share the Harvest We want to share our harvest of healthy produce with our community
Greetings Family,
How are you doing today? I hope you are well. As you know, I am the Co-Founder and Executive Director of Human Agricultural Cooperative (501c3).
(From our Press release 03-23)
Our mission is to educate, train and mentor our youth and community members in farming, food distribution and vocational training. The organization’s motto is: Together We Are Better and Stronger.
Over the past 3 years, with our partners we have grown, secured and distributed over 3 million+ pounds of food to our city as well as several cities throughout the Midwest (Fort Wayne, Indianapolis, Evansville, Hammond, Gary, St. Louis, Cleveland, Chicago and now throughout the state of Indiana). I am writing to you because we are looking for strategic partners to continue and expand this effort, and we know that YOU would be ideal partners to help improve our community.
How can you do that beyond a simple yes and conversations? Join us in our Share the Harvest land and infrastructure capital fundraiser to build a sustainable effort to feed the hungry and teach our youth. Share the Harvest fundraiser has a goal to produce over 1 million pounds of food to give away to those in need. In the past couple years, we’ve given away literally hundreds of thousands of tons of food away and have helped provide healthy food options for people in need throughout Fort Wayne and the region.
Despite our efforts and others in the community, 1 in 8 people in Fort Wayne remain hungry. We are still pushing forward and with your help, we continue to feed those that cannot feed themselves. With your help, our $1 a day for a year campaign could achieve our goal of $1 million in no time if we all work together.
Chuck and Lisa Surack have been loyal supporters of the Human Agricultural Cooperative. They have a long history of working with key nonprofits throughout the region and have it in their hearts to help make our community a better place to live. Chuck and Lisa along with the Surack Family Foundation are focused to make a difference in Northeast Indiana. Their desire to improve conditions locally is why they support our efforts including our latest fundraising efforts ``Share the Harvest.”
“Lisa and I are honored to support this new opportunity that will help families get access to healthy, fresh and locally grown food.” Chuck and Lisa Surack and the Surack Family Foundation.
Let's research together how much we need to model our farm and vocational training center in our city and others.
Do you want to do more for yourself, your children, your community and the future? Now is the time!!
Can you Pledge to donate $1 a day for 1 year? That's only $7 per week.
We can feed 10,000 people for around $60,000.
Want to know more? To help you better understand our organization and our mission, enclosed you will find all of the details, please contact me at your earliest convenience.
Together We Are Better and Stronger!!
Prayers and blessings sent and received,
