♥︎Sugar Paste (NOT sugar wax!)♥︎⠀
The oldest form of waxing out there! Formulated out of sugar, water & lemon. If you’re looking for an eco friendly & natural waxing experience, finding a sugarist or sugarista in your area is the way to go!⠀

The way this wax works is having the warm (not hot!) paste molded against the growth of hair multiple times and then it is flicked by the technician using small, quick movements with the hair growth.⠀

Best part about sugaring (in my opinion!) is that it’s water soluble - so it’s super easy to clean up and if any parts feel sticky, just use a wet washcloth and it’s gone!⠀

Hard wax comes in two forms - polymer & non-polymer. Polymer comes in bead & tablet form, while non-polymer only comes in tablet form. Both are great and work really well on the entire body. Hard wax is mainly used in intimate areas but has recently become popular for full body.⠀

Hard wax specialists have become more popular as formulas have now surpassed many soft wax formulas. ⠀

Hard wax is named after its ability to harden over hair follicles without adhering to the skin as it cools for less painful waxing. Hard wax has a lot of versatility and can be applied either way against the hair growth! It can be applied multiple times without tearing the skin.⠀

♥︎Soft Wax♥︎⠀
Also known as strip wax, this wax is the “go-to” for many spas & salons as it is the most cost effective wax modality on the market and a little goes a lonnng way!⠀

Soft wax comes in a can form or roll-on cartridge. It’s applied hot in the direction of the hair growth and removed against the hair growth with a muslin strip or pellon strip. This can only be performed once as it can cause skin to lift or tear easily. Strip wax is great at adhearing to even the smallest & finest hairs.⠀

I do want to make sure I add that there is no modality better than another. It all depends on the waxer and what they’re comfortable with. There is a ton of misconception with “what wax is best”, but it’s truly all about the provider and how they’re able to use that modality. Sugaring and hard wax are currently offered at TNP. 🫶🏻
