Today we join with others in celebrating Juneteenth as a profound day in American history; and thank our Fort Worth community leader Opal Lee in her efforts to bring all Americans together to celebrate our common bond of freedom through the recognition, observance, education and historic preservation of Juneteenth in America.

The Maranta leuconeura is native to the Brazilian tropical forests and is commonly known as the "Prayer Plant" because its leaves fold upward like praying hands at night when they go to ~sleep~ 😴
