Why should I see a Neuro Optometrist after my concussion?
82% of concussion patients have shown to have a diagnosis of oculomotor problems. Most prevalent of these diagnoses being convergence insufficiency and accommodative insufficiency. Vision therapy can not only help relieve the symptoms of these diagnoses, but treat them! Post concussion patients also often suffer from motion sickness, light sensitivity, balance issues, etc. that can be treated with vision therapy and/or Syntonic Therapy! Neuro Optometrists can provide much needed relief for those suffering after a concussion, especially to those whom have been suffering for YEARS.
If you have had a concussion, whether it was last week or twenty years ago, give us a call today to make an appointment! Don’t suffer any longer!
Happy Father’s Day to all the dads today. We hope you get to tell as many bad jokes as you would like today! 🤓
Meet our new vision therapist, Christine! Christine is almost done with her training and will be seeing patients on her own soon!
Why shouldn’t I do surgery for my/my child’s eye turn?
Success rates for strabismus surgery are LOW! Over half of patients that have had the procedure will be told they need another, due to the return of the turn (often in the opposite direction). We now know that eye turns are caused by poor stimulate or communication to the ocular muscles by the nerve pathways in the visual system, not by weak ocular muscles. In order to have properly working vision, the eyes must be aligned AND working together with the brain; which the surgery does not improve. However, vision therapy DOES help improve both cosmetic and visual function of the eyes!
Our office is CLOSED today, June 3rd for all appointments due to a power outage in the area. We apologize for any inconvenience
Why do we do Syntonic Light Therapy?
Syntonics is a passive therapy that can have BIG changes! This therapy has been used clinically to treat conditions such as Amblyopia, Strabismus, convergence issues, and more for over 70 years. Simply looking at a light of a certain wavelength tailored to each specific patient helps to balance out the Autonomic Nervous System, which in turn opens up the functional visual field, decreases the size of the blind spot, and helps improve other visual testing. After Syntonic Therapy, our patients often see a decrease in headaches, decreased light sensitivity, increases awareness of their surroundings, improved sleep, less anxiety, improved reading skills, etc. AND, Syntonics also often greatly reduces the amount of vision therapy needed, and even eliminated the need in some cases!
Happy Memorial Day! Our office will be closed tomorrow, May 27th. We will reopen on Tuesday, May 28th for clinical appointments and Vision Therapy. We hope you all enjoy your long weekend!
Wishing a very happy birthday to our Lead Therapist and Practice Manager, Megan! We hope you have a great day!

Neuro Eye Team has expanded…AGAIN!!
Dr. Conley is now the proud owner of THREE suites, which we have opened up to be one big unit. We have added a second tech/testing room, a fourth vision therapy room, more waiting space, a bigger reception area, and more! We can’t wait to see you in our new space!
Our vision therapists and Dr. Conley were in San Francisco last week for continuing education at the Optometric Vision Development and Rehabilitation Association (OVDRA-formerly COVD) conference!
While there, both Megan and Britnay passed the finally portion of testing to become Certified Optometric Vision Therapists! These women have worked extremely hard to earn this certification and distinction. Our practice is very proud of how far they have come in their respective journeys, and excited to see where it takes them in further helping our patients! Please join us in congratulating them!
Why is it important for my baby to crawl before they walk?!?!?
When babies are growing, it is crucial for them to hit each milestone to develop properly. Crawling is essential for developing neurological pathways for gross motor, fine motor, problem solving skills, visual development, etc. It is important that a baby crawls using all four limbs, as well. If your little one isn't wanting to crawl, try encouraging crawling through play! An occupational therapist can also help!
CLOSED FOR CONSTRUCTION AND TRAINING
Our office will be closed starting today thru Monday, April 15th. We will reopen Tuesday, April 16th for clinical appointments and vision therapy.
During this time, our office is undergoing another transformation and many of our team members are out in San Franscico for continuing education.
You can still call or text our office to schedule an appointment or for any questions! We look forward to seeing you when we reopen!

Why do I get motion sick?!
If you get motion sickness, there is a good chance that your vision could be the culprit! Poor eye tracking and poor peripheral vision leads to your brain not properly processing what your eyes are seeing, leading to you feeling icky.
If you or your child gets motion sick, call us to get in for an exam!
Happy Birthday to one of our Vision Therapists, Victoria!

What could be happening in our office? 🤔

Why can’t I see a 3-D movie?!
If you can’t see a 3-D movie, odd are you are struggling with depth perception and your binocular vision as a whole! When our eyes aren’t working together properly, it can lead to many issues, and one of those is an issue with stereopsis. Amblyopia, Stabismus, and refractive errors can all be part of why you may have an issue with stereopsis.
If you or your kiddo can’t see in 3-D properly, give us a call to get it checked out! Dr. Conley and our vision therapists are pros at making your world POP again!
SENIOR DISCOUNT 📢
As of today, March 1st, 2024, Neuro Eye Team is no longer in network with Medicare. We decided as a practice that too many changes were being made that limited our ability to provide the best care for our patients in terms of types of services we could provide, frequency of services, etc. Due to that, we will now be a fully open access practice to better serve our patients.
We will now be offering a 20% discount on most services to our patients ages 65+ (some exclusions apply) in order to best serve our senior population!
Why does my baby need an eye exam?
Did you know even babies need eye exams?! The AOA actually recommends that babies have their first eye exam between 6 and 12 months old. This allows to check for any major developmental issues in the eyes and visual system and catch them before they progress.
Dr. Conley is part of the InfantSEE program, so call us to schedule your infant’s first eye exam for FREE before they turn a year old!
Happy Valentine’s Day from Neuro Eye team! Wishing you lots of love today and always!

Why do I need an eye exam every year?!
Yearly eye exams aren’t just for updating your prescription! (Although that’s an important part!)
During your yearly exam, we are able to check the health of your eye and monitor for things like Glaucoma, Cataracts, Macular Degeneration and many other eye diseases. Not only that, but the eyes can clue us in to many other things going on within the body such as Diabetes, Stroke, Hypertension, Autoimmune diseases, and even certain Cancers
Early detection is important! If it’s been awhile since you’ve seen an optometrist, give us a call!
Our team is always training, learning new skills, and staying up to date in the industry to provide the best patient care! Today our vision therapists some training. 🤓
