Last month, the Crohn's & Colitis Foundation - Northern Texas & Oklahoma Chapter, hosted their 8th Annual Craft Cocktail Competition at the Social Space in Fort Worth. Nearly 400 people attended this roaring 20’s - themed event and over $265,000 was raised to help forward the Foundation's Mission: To cure Crohn's disease and ulcerative colitis, and to improve the quality of life of children and adults affected by these diseases.

Congratulations to the Craft Cocktail Competition winners who created the “Best Craft Cocktails in Cowtown”:

🥇Judges' Choice Award: Aaron Garcia, representing Tinie's Mexican Cuisine, created a cocktail called “La Gringa”, featuring Blue Ice Vodka.

🥇People's Choice Award: Ethan Goettsch, representing Clay Pigeon Food & Drink, created a cocktail called “Sweater Weather”, featuring CAZCABEL Tequila.

Grit & Generosity Award -
The Barry Corbin Grit & Generosity Award was awarded to Keith Maddox posthumously on Saturday evening at the 37th annual . His wife, Susan Maddox and daughters, Treasure and Mercedes accepted graciously on his behalf.

Keith and Susan Maddox founded the Best Hat Store in 1996 and purchased American Hat Company in 2003. Keith passed in 2019, but continues to be a cornerstone of the Fort Worth and western community.

“This was a cause that Keith held very dear to his heart, as I do. We’re all here to have a good time tonight, but we all came together to raise money for these kids that are so special and grow up to be special adults. There isn’t a person in here that isn’t affected by autism in some form to some degree. Thank you for this honor.” Said Susan Maddox.
