Today, we’re excited to spotlight an outstanding team leader, Maribel Steele! Maribel began her journey with Olympus Property in 2011 as a Leasing Consultant and has excelled in every onsite role since. She quickly advanced, becoming Assistant Manager in 2014 and then Business Manager in 2015, successfully overseeing four different properties along the way. In 2024, Maribel was promoted to Regional Manager, a testament to her hard work and dedication—true hallmarks of being an Olympian. Her contributions have been invaluable to our Arizona region, and we’re incredibly grateful to have her on our team!

When asked what motivates her to stay and , Maribel shared, “The opportunity to connect with Olympus leadership and witness how to lead with a humble heart has profoundly impacted my career. From day one, I knew I had found my forever home with Olympus Property.”

Maribel’s favorite core value is family. She explains, “Being an Olympian means being part of something bigger than yourself—putting others’ needs before your own and always striving to help and encourage fellow Olympians in need. It’s about being part of a family, not just an employee, and committing to go above and beyond while striving for excellence.”

This core value of family resonates deeply with Maribel, as she cherishes her own family life. Married to her high school sweetheart, Maribel enjoys the joys of parenting their four beautiful children.

Recap of the 2nd Annual FWAA Pickleball Tournament!

Pickleball is definitely the game of the year! This past week, our corporate and onsite teams united for the 2nd Annual Pickleball Tournament, an exciting event that raised funds for the FWAA PAC.

Organizations from all over the DFW area gathered at in Grapevine, TX, for a day filled with fun and friendly competition. A big thank you to our partners at Earthworks for the invitation to play alongside you!

We’re thrilled to revive one of our favorite traditions: the Corporate Workday Takeover! Each quarter, our teams and their communities compete to achieve the highest Award of Excellence (AOE) score in their region. The top team from each region earns a spot in our raffle for a chance to win two days off, during which members of the Olympus corporate team will come and work at their property!

This tradition, which began before COVID, has returned with renewed excitement, and we’re delighted to announce that The Residences at Escaya emerged as the winner for both Q1 and Q2! Our corporate teams from across the country came together to work on-site while the Escaya team enjoyed a well-deserved break.

From sleek, innovative meeting rooms to luxurious, comfortable break areas, and all-new amenities, this office is crafted to help us thrive. Plus, we're now nestled in the beautiful Clearfork area, surrounded by fantastic restaurants and shopping. A huge shoutout to the amazing team at Matrix Construction Services for their incredible work and dedication in building out our space, and to Design Identity Group for their exciting concepts and drawings that brought our vision to life. The outstanding efforts of both teams have made this space a perfect fit for us, and they absolutely knocked it out of the park!

Our Olympus Property team had an unforgettable experience at the RealWorld 2024 in Las Vegas, hosted by ! 🌟 From August 11th to 13th, our team gathered at the to connect, learn, and embrace the future of multifamily with the theme “Next is Now”.

This year we were fortunate enough to have multiple Olympians in attendance, from our operations team to revenue management, IT, accounting, and marketing. At Olympus Property, we pride ourselves as long-term partners of RealPage and utilizing their various software products to achieve our business goals.

This week, we explored new innovations and insights from leaders like RealPage CEO and President Dana Jones, Tech Entrepreneur Scott Galloway, and Salesforce VP of Global Talent Brand Marketing Molly Q. Last week, we had the privilege of attending the 2024 AMA Tribute Awards, Arizona’s premier event celebrating excellence in the multifamily industry! 🎉 This year we had 18 nominees and 2 finalists, Amy Baiker (Manager of the Year, 300+ units) and Vive (Team of the Year, 1-199 units). Today, we are excited to spotlight Kraig Ballerstein, Regional Maintenance Technician at Olympus Property! ✨ Kraig is a fantastic example of a success story.

After spending 27 years at his previous company without a chance for advancement, Kraig started his journey with Olympus in 2018 and found what he was looking for! After 4 years as the Lead Maintenance Technician at Olympus Steelyard, a 301-unit midrise, he moved to Monte Viejo, a 480-unit property. His dedication and hard work clearly paid off because nearly a year later he was promoted to Regional Maintenance Technician.👏

When asked what keeps him motivated at Olympus, Kraig shares, “From day one, they have been 100% honest and loyal to me. I’ve had several talks with Jenni, Loryne, Samantha, and Terry, receiving valuable advice that helped me grow both personally and professionally. Olympus has always been supportive of me and my family, and I plan on being an Olympian until I retire!”

Kraig attributes his success to not being treated like a number, he genuinely feels Olympus wants him to succeed, and it’s always a good feeling to be wanted and valued!

When it comes to the Olympus value that impacts his daily life the most, Kraig highlights “teamwork” stating, “I love being a Regional because I get to be part of many teams and make a difference for individuals and their properties.”
