Former guitar student Haylee stopped by for a visit today. Check us out with our matching Parker guitars! 🎸
Haylee started lessons around 2012 or so at my house before the music school even existed. She was there for the transition from me teaching out of my house to hiring staff and renting a commercial space. Haylee started off Day 1 knowing ZERO.
Today? She plays for her church worship team and has an amazing ear 👂 to figure out just about anything she wants to play. I was lucky enough to witness her total transformation over about 7 years of guitar lessons.
Now she’s a junior in college, running track and cross country and working towards her degree in sports psychology.
Makes me super proud to know she’s still playing guitar as a regular part of her life and the successful adult she’s becoming!
You’re awesome, Haylee. Hall of fame student and person 🤗

What an amazing time having some of our ultra talented music students share the stage with last night at The Post (rad venue BTW, great food).
Thank you to all the parents, teachers, and students who made this happen along with .obrien.russell and the Cut Throat Finches crew plus The Post for accommodating us!

This Sunday some of our excellent students will be performing with
They’ve collectively learned 10 CTF songs and will take turns joining the Fort Worth legends onstage. Looking forward to rocking with y’all!

From a full band performance of Zeppelin’s “Stairway to Heaven” to 90’s country and a classical guitar fingerpicking rendition of a Disney classic, these committed students had a little bit of something for everyone.
