Over the course of her twenty five year career, Susan Werner has earned a reputation as âone of the most innovative songwriters working todayâ (Chicago Tribune). With formidable chops on guitar (she began playing at age 5) and piano (she was a guest on Marian McPartlandâs Piano Jazz), along with a graduate degree in voice performance, her shows are a one-woman master class in musicianship. Although best known as an acoustic songwriter that came up through coffeehouses and folk festivals, the Chicago-based artist has written songs in the style of Gershwin and Cole Porter (I Canât Be New, 2004), gospel music (The Gospel Truth, 2007), traditional Cuban âsonâ (An American In Havana, 2016), and New Orleans junk piano (NOLA, 2019). In 2014 she composed the music and lyrics to the musical theater score Bull Durham, The Musical (MGM). Her songs have been recorded by Tom Jones, Michael Feinstein, and Shemekia Copeland, and her latest recording of originals, The Birds of Florida, took flight in 2022.

Born and raised in Memphis, Tennessee, Rob Baird began his music career while pursuing a ranch management degree at Texas Christian University. After countless performances in Fort Worthâs well-known bar scene, Bairdâs career quickly picked up steam allowing him to record his debut record âBlue Eyed Angelsâ which included the career-changing âFade Away.â This effort immediately launched Bairdâs career when he signed with Carnival Records and began releasing music that gained national attention.
Baird has gone on to release five studio albums under his label, Hard Luck Recording Company. Through the power of streaming services and staggeringly consistent releases, Baird has since been able to grow his audience year after year.
His releases have been reviewed in Rolling Stone, The Wall Street Journal and Spin Magazine, while also being featured in over a dozen television shows including Season 2 of Yellowstone and, most recently, American Idol. Baird has shared the stage with artists such as Nathaniel Rateliff, Ryan Bingham, and the late Billy Joe Shaver and performed at national festivals including Austin City Limits, Key West Songwriters Festival, Live from the Divide and the Americana Music Festival.

"...as carefully crafted and insightful as good Paul Simon. With a raspy voice and subtly complex arrangements, Sever brings a delightfully different energy to the often hidebound folk scene; electrifies it, actually."
- L.A. Daily News
"Matt the Electrician proves singer/songwriters can be funny without being clowns and thoughtful without being overwrought."
â Amplifier
"His musical confections remind me of butter mints, the small white fluffy kind that instantly melt in your mouth. After each song finishes you1re left with only a pleasant taste."
- Vintage Guitar Magazine
âMatt the Electricianâs warm rasp is like perfectly softened leather, enveloping you like a warm hug and getting better and better with time.â
