Theatre Wesleyan trains young theatre artists with one-on-one attention and endless opportunities in every area of production.
With over 65 years of shows and productions, we take great pride in our history and look forward to a bright future. Performances take place in the Thad Smotherman Theatre, located in the Law Sone Fine Arts Center on the corner of Binkley Street and Avenue E. On the Texas Wesleyan Univeristy Campus.
Theatre Wesleyan is excited to announce the 2024/25 Season: โAll In The Ramilyโ! โจ This season will include productions guest-directed by familiar Texas Wesleyan University theatre alumni, a fall musical revolving around a seemingly modern American family, a world premiere from a graduating senior, and the milestone 70th annual spring musical. ๐ญ

๐ข Texans For The Arts is excited to announce the opening of our internship program for the Fall 2024! We are seeking passionate, motivated, and creative individuals to join our team and contribute to our mission of advancing the arts in Texas.
Our internship offers hands-on experience in arts administration, public policy, community outreach, and resource development. Interns will work closely with our team on various projects, gaining valuable skills and insights into the nonprofit arts sector.
๐๏ธ Duration: Fall 2024 (September - December)
๐ Location: Remote, with occasional in-person events in Austin, TX
โฐ Hours: 10 hours per week
๐ต Compensation: $1500 stipend upon completion. College credit is available.
Responsibilities include research, event planning, outreach, social media management, grant writing, and more. Apply by August 15, 2024.

'Freakshow: Unleash the Demons' delves into the twisted world of Dr. HH Holmes and his sinister circus. This macabre 25-minute musical theatrical production takes the audience on a journey through Holmes' gruesome deeds. With haunting music, fire, a strap act, and a talented ensemble, the show unfolds with captivating specialty acts, showcasing the allure of the unknown and the darkness that lies within.
