Their duties in the field prepare growers daily by checking crops for staging, disease, weeds, soil sampling and most importantly, insect pressure for optimal pest management. AgBiTech celebrates Agronomist Day and their support, recommending our safe and effective biological insecticides we produce here in the USA. Hats off and thank you! https://www.agbitech.us

This well-done report does a phenomenal job at highlighting where biocontrols is coming from and where it is heading to, on a global scale.

History says that women were the first farmers. Today, March 8th 2022, we would like to celebrate the International Women’s Day by highlighting these incredible women who continue to push agriculture forward.
Dr. Whitney Crow – Assistant Professor and Extension Entomologist, Mississippi State University, USA “My goal is taking the knowledge gained from our research, and apply it to the betterment of production agriculture.”
Winnie Nunda – Research Officer, Invasive Species Management, CABI, Nairobi, Kenya "Humanity will always need something to eat, food production is always going to be a priority. Current approaches to farming that are enhanced by scientific advances can be safely used to solve agriculture related problems and one step closer to bridging the gap in ending world hunger. Bringing science from the lab to the field is my passion."
Dr. Léna Durocher-Granger – Research and Programme Assistant, CABI, Leusden, The Netherlands. Currently stationed in Lusaka, Zambia. "Growing up in a small agricultural village in Canada, I appreciated from an early age how complex and demanding it is to grow food. During my studies, I found passion in entomology and biocontrol and decided to dedicate my career to that science and collaborate with farmers to develop sustainable and innovative solutions to grow safer food."
⏰ Wondering when the best time to apply ViVUS Max or ViVUS Armigen to your crops is?
Helicoverpa larvae must ingest the product to become infected, so the best time to apply is when they’re actively feeding at around 25°C. Additionally, humidity above 50% helps the persistence of ViVUS due to reduced evaporation at application ☀️
But don’t worry if you’re outside these optimal conditions - Optimol was developed to enhance the performance of ViVUS Max and ViVUS Armigen, especially outside of their ideal conditions, so that you can spray stress-free 🌱🐛
In this image, ViVUS Max is being applied through overhead irrigation, but there are many application options to fit your crop, time, and budget!
You might know that our ViVUS products control Helicoverpa without impacting beneficials, but did you know why this is?
ViVUS Max and ViVUS Armigen contain baculovirus, which is an entirely natural and highly specific virus 🌱
We know that viruses can sound spooky, but hear us out - baculovirus is entirely non-pathogenic to other insects (including bees, ladybeetles, and ants), birds, mammals (including humans), and almost anything else that is not a Helicoverpa larvae. 🐞🐝👩🌾✅
That’s why these ants can handle and consume an infected Helicoverpa larvae with no adverse effects at all. In fact, they help spread it around! 🐜
This makes ViVUS products sustainable, effective, and entirely non-toxic - unless you’re a Helicoverpa larvae ❌🐛
