Community Kiln, the ceramics studio of the Brick Stack Art Center, is dedicated to educating and inspiring a community of artists in MetroWest. Here, students of all ages, abilities, and backgrounds can come together to experience, create, learn about, and celebrate ceramic arts.

Happy first day of Summer classes 🥳🌟☀️😎🌞⛱️

To kick off our Summer semester (Summer 1 and 2) take a look at our Summer Bingo challenge. You may be enrolled in Summer 1, Summer 2 or both sessions in order to participate.

1. Pick up a Bingo card from the office and complete as many of the squares are you can from now until September 21st as you can 🏺🪴

2.Make sure to take pictures of your work that completes your Bingo tasks 📸

3. Submit your Bingo card and images when you’re finished to [email protected] 💻📲

A random winner will be pulled on September 22nd and they will receive a free bag of clay 🪴 Make sure to send us progress photos for a chance to be featured on our Instagram 📸

Do you want to learn more about observational drawing/painting 🧐✍️? Want to brush up on your painting skills🎨? Have an affinity for underglaze?👨‍🎨🖼️ Then this sounds like a great workshop for you!

Join instructor Natalie on Friday, July 12th from 6-9PM and learn the skill of painting on underglaze. This workshop will include practicing drawing from observation, creating an underglaze color chart and understanding the basics of painting. All skills can be transferred into your personal practice 🪴🎨🖌️

2-4 make fairy houses and garden critters with instructor Zen 🧚‍♀️🦄🐉 Make some Summer garden friends and fairy houses using handbuilding techniques. Enjoy a safe space of LGBTQ+ people and relax with some calming clay projects. Open to LGBTQ+ identifying people only, allies we’ll see you from 12-2 😉 Ages 10+

Finding it hard to navigate through our enrollment website? 🤨👩‍💻 ⁉️ Check out this helpful graphic that shows you everything you need to know about registering for a class or workshop 📋🪴 and don’t forget, registration for Summer Two is THIS Saturday, June 1st at 9AM ☀️😎

Step 1️⃣: Visit out website www.brickstack.org

Step 2️⃣: On the top of the page visit the “Adult Classes” page to view all of the class options we are offering for the current session.

Step 3️⃣: On the top of the page either click the “New Student” button to create an account or “Student Login” if you are returning

Step 4️⃣: For returning students:enter your log in information to take you to the home page. Click on “Find Classes” to sign up for the next session, workshops and more!

Step 5️⃣: Filter your results to only show the next session by clicking on the filter button and then sort by “Session.” Click your desired session to see results. Remember, enrollment after 2 classes is not permitted, so do not enroll in past classes.

Step 6️⃣: Select your desired class and who you would like to enroll in the class. Read and check off all policies and then click “Add to Cart.”

Step 7️⃣: Either “Continue Shopping” for other classes or “Checkout Now” to complete your transaction and enrollment. 🧚‍♀️Note- adding something to your cart does NOT mean you are enrolled or your spot is saved.

Step 8️⃣: Once in your shopping cart, review your enrollment details and click “Accept Enrollment Fees and Continue” to complete enrollment

Step 9️⃣: Check your email for enrollment confirmation. You can also confirm by visiting your dashboard and looking at “My Classes.” You will receive email confirmation and additional student details from Community Kiln about 1 week before your class.

Step 🔟: Sit back and relax for now! We’ll see you in a bit

Our instructor, Marc, has perfected his Cone 6 crystal recipe with the help of David LaPierre. Each vessel is unique in its application and zinc crystal bursts 💥

What have we been up to the past month?! Well, now that you ask we made, labeled and sorted 441 white tiles, 441 brown tiles and 21 speckled tiles, removed all of our old tiles and nails, sanded, painted and re-gridded 3 boards and we’re finally ready for YOU to come help us glaze tomorrow! Current students- come on down to help with our test tile glazing, tomorrow from 11-3:30. ❤️🧡💛💚💙💜
