It's the Best Day Ever! Tomorrow!

Framingham High School faculty cast in FHS Drama Co. SpongeBob Musical Friday thru Sunday Dress rehearsal of Framingham High School Drama Company's SpongeBob Musical features all faculty cast and State Rep. Jack Lewis

05/03/2024

Meera Gill (aka Ms. Gill) is a Citizen of Bikini Bottom/Pirate in The SpongeBob Musical! She is a teacher in the ESL Department at FHS, and she loves seeing her students' confidence in English grow. She loves FHS because it allows her to meet wonderful people, many of them from all over the world. Ms. Gill has been jealous of her daughters' theater experience over the past few years, because it looked like they were having so much fun, so now it's her turn! And it has been great to meet and get to know staff from all over this huge building. She performed in My Fair Lady, Once Upon a Mattress, and Our Town when she was in high school. Currently, she helps out behind the scenes with her daughters' school performances. Fun fact: By next summer, she will have visited all 50 states. Ms. Gill would like to thank Chris, Bethany, Chloe, Stephanie and all the highly talented cast and crew for making this all possible. And her family for supporting her in this adventure!

05/03/2024

Jack Lewis (aka Jack) is a Pirate in The SpongeBob Musical! Jack is one of Framingham’s State Representatives, and when he isn't on Beacon Hill or hanging out at the Senior Center, Jack tries to never miss a performance of the Framingham Middle or High School drama companies. One of his favorite parts of being a part of the Framingham community is watching the drama kids grow in their talent and confidence. After a multi-decade hiatus from acting, Jack made his theatrical return in Bystander 9/11 with several other FPS teachers at ātac in 2021. While he can do nothing to rectify one of his biggest life regrets of quitting theatre after middle school, he couldn't be more excited now to be the most whimsical pirate in Bikini Bottom. He'd like to thank his husband and kids for allowing him to have "Poor Pirates" as the soundtrack of their lives for the last several months, and his parents for their steadfast support and encouragement. Fun Fact: Jack's love of musicals is only surpassed by his love of dinosaurs, Star Trek, and coconut curry.

05/03/2024

Diane Parisi (aka Ms. Parisi) is a Citizen of Bikini Bottom/Pirate in The SpongeBob Musical! She has worked in the FHS Science Department for 20 years. She teaches Biology, Animal Behavior and Vertebrate Zoology. She likes working with young people and helping foster a love for this planet and for animals. Ms. Parisi loves the diversity of the student body and the camaraderie of the staff. She grew up in Jamaica, Queens, New York and went to the Bronx High School of Science, so she traveled an hour and a half each way on the subway to get to school. She loves meeting new people with different backgrounds and learning about their culture. After having two knee replacements, she can finally dance, move and feel comfortable on stage and be involved in her school community. She has always been a fan of SpongBob and has referenced the cast in lessons for her Biology class. She has not had much theatre experience since elementary school, so this will be her debut. Fun fact: Ms. Parisi went to the University of Rhode Island for Marine Biology and majored in Zoology. She loves to SCUBA dive. She would like to thank her family, friends, and of course students who make teaching so enjoyable.

05/03/2024

Heather Conroy (aka Ms. Conroy) is Patchy the Pirate/Electric Skate/Citizen of Bikini Bottom in The SpongeBob Musical! She is a teacher in the English Department at FHS. She loves teaching because it creates better thinkers, one book at a time. She loves FHS because the students keep her laughing every day. In Bikini Bottom, baby, every bu-bu-body wins! Previous theatrical experience includes Sally in “You’re a Good Man, Charlie Brown.” Fun fact: Ms. Conroy is a bronze medal winner in the 1993 Pacific Northwest Regional Artistic Roller Skating Championships, and it is finally paying off!! She would like to thank her dog Scout for his supportive howling practice.

05/03/2024

Diana Allen (aka Ms. Allen) is a Citizen of Bikini Bottom/Pirate in The SpongeBob Musical! She is an English Teacher at FHS, who loves building relationships with high schoolers as humans first and students second. She is passionate about the power of story to connect us to universal experiences, and the beauty of metaphor to hold life's ambiguity. She loves the diversity of options FHS students have in terms of extracurriculars, and she deeply appreciates the freedom teachers have to tailor curriculum to the students in the room. SpongeBob is her first real play production, and she has had the most fun making new friends and learning what goes on behind the curtain of our amazing FHS Drama Company. At summer camp, she accompanied Peter Pan the Musical on the piano, and was Dogberry in a high school production of Much Ado about Nothing. Fun fact: Ms. Allen makes a mean cookie. She is grateful to her husband Noah for all his support during long rehearsal days, and she’s grateful to Ali Courchesne for encouraging her to take the leap to audition.

05/03/2024

Andy Jasinski (aka Mr. J) is Eugene H. Krabs in The SpongeBob Musical! He is a teacher in the Fine and Performing Arts Department at FHS. Teaching is why he wakes up in the morning: the shows, concerts, and projects that he has the honor to work on with students are everything he’s ever wanted; he can't properly express what it means to him! There is an unwavering spirit within the students of FHS. When you get the right group of staff and students together in this building with a common goal, there is no stopping the momentum, the growth, or the success of that group. It might be an uphill battle, but the students at FHS find a way to succeed. Mr. J’s theatre experience is almost 100% pit orchestra, but he is looking forward to being goofy and stepping outside of his comfort zone. In 2003, he was on stage one time - he soon learned that he was better suited for wearing all black and providing the accompaniment! Fun fact: Mr. J’s claim to fame is that in 1993, he was picked out of a massive audience to sit on Shamu. It still shocks him that kids were just allowed to do that; his parents signed a lot of stuff to say that "if he gets eaten or something goes wrong, be cool, and have a nice day at Sea World!" Pics in the band room to prove it! He has to thank Mrs. J for every aspect of his daily existence. She married this KRAB and keeps him going every day.

05/03/2024

It's METG Middle School Festival time! Please check out all three middle school shows tonight. Break a leg to Walsh, Cameron, and Fuller!

04/26/2024

Rebecca Rolleri (aka Rebecca) is a Featured Dancer/Citizen of Bikini Bottom/Pirate as well as the Dance Captain in The SpongeBob Musical! She is the dance teacher in the FHS Fine and Performing Arts Department, and she loves to see young artists step out of their comfort zones and find joy in dance. Rebecca loves FHS because she loves seeing students of all different walks of life support each other both in and out of the classroom. She also appreciates how supportive the FHS community is of the arts. Being in SpongeBob has allowed her to be a student again and learn something new and to connect with other teachers in such a joyful space. While she has spent a lot of time on stage as a dancer, she has never been in a musical! She has performed in "Tongues" choreographed by Bradley Shelver, "Poet's Plight" by Germaul Barnes, and "Keeping Things Whole" by Gabrielle Lamb; as well, Rebecca has performed "Paquita" (Paquita), "Carmen" (Carmen), "La Esmeralda" (Esmeralda), "Coppelia" (Swanhilda), "Giselle" (Queen Myrtha), and "A Midsummer Night's Dream" (Hippolyta). Fun fact: Rebecca was an All-State Clarinet player in High School. She would like to thank Chris Brindley for creating such a welcoming environment for us to play and experiment in the world of Bikini Bottom. She’d Also like to thank her parents for continually supporting her passion for dance and for seeing 23 years of performances.

04/26/2024

Heather Nicholson (aka Heather) is a Citizen of Bikini Bottom/Pirate in The SpongeBob Musical! She works in Food Service at FHS. What she loves most about FHS is the students. This is her first theatrical experience! This SpongeBob experience means a lot to her, and she is having fun doing something different. Fun fact: Heather can roller skate. She would like to thank her daughter, Imani.

04/26/2024

Bradley Dean (aka Mr. Dean) is a Security Guard/Larry the Lobster in The SpongeBob Musical! Mr. Dean teaches in the History Department at FHS, and he loves watching students learn the skills to become independent and critical thinkers in the modern world. To him, FHS feels like a big family. Working on this production has allowed him to have fun with colleagues while creating something fun and beautiful for the community to enjoy. The last time he was on stage, the country was panicking about Y2K, downloading music on Napster, and obsessing over the marriage of Brad Pitt and Jennifer Aniston. He performed in A Funny Thing Happened On The Way To The Forum, Give My Regards to Broadway, Midsummer Night Dream, Baby, Oliver, and several murder mystery dinners. Fun fact: Mr. Dean is an avid cyclist. This last summer he biked all of the bike trails in Massachusetts. His longest ride being from Boston to Provincetown. When the weather improves, you may see him commuting to FHS on his bike (Connie) from Marlborough. He would like to thank his family for allowing him to have the time to be a part of this production.

04/25/2024

Diane Burke (aka Ms. Burke, Burrrke!!) is Gary/Citizen of Bikini Bottom/ Pirate in The SpongeBob Musical! She is a History Teacher at FHS. She loves teaching because when she has conversations in the classroom about important world issues, students have the answers, and she loves encouraging them to bring those answers out into the world. Her students keep her young by telling her how to dress and new lingo! Ms. Burke loves FHS because there is always something new to learn, the staff and students are very kind, and she is always meeting new people! She loves theatre, but she has never been in a production! She is honored to be a part of this show. Ms. Burke took a theatre class senior year of college and once she waited in line overnight on the streets of NYC for tickets to Saturday Night Live, so she thinks that counts? Fun fact: Ms. Burke has been hang gliding and skydiving twice. If the musical requires someone to fly around stage on wires, she is your gal! She would like to thank Harry and Sidney for learning all of the songs with her, her husband for reminding her there are no small roles, her parents for babysitting, Taylor for pressuring her to audition, and D period prep teachers for their help with G hashtags.

04/25/2024

Taylor Collins (aka Ms. Collins, Collins, T. Collins) is a Security Guard/Mrs. Puff in The SpongeBob Musical! She is a teacher in the History Department at FHS. Ms. Collins loves FHS because of her colleagues, the collaborative nature, and the great and hilarious students! She especially loves when her students connect historical events to modern day issues. The SpongeBob Musical is a chance to shine and be discovered by Hollywood! But for real, it is fun to be silly, and get to know her colleagues more. When she was 8 years old, she took a class at the Little Theater in Winston- Salem, NC (her hometown) and was taken out mid performance because she could not stop laughing. It was a defeat for sure, but she continued her passion for performance by doing plays put on by herself and older brothers to the sweet tunes of New Kids On The Block. She also danced in her high school talent show, but accidentally kicked the girl beside her in the head. Thankfully, teaching allows her to perform every day and Brindley noticed her raw talent as they created a video for the Class of 2020 during the Pandemic! Fun fact: You can tell her emotions by her face; she cannot hide her feelings and makes horrible faces most of the time, she loves to play soccer, and she once got a concussion from an antique window hitting her in the head. Ms. Collins would like to thank her dog, Luther Vandross Collins for his patience as she takes on this new adventure, his dog walkers for helping her out, and Diane Burke for joining her in this journey we call life, Chris Brindley for taking a chance on a simple girl from NC, all the cast members who deal with her antics daily, and of course, TIMMY BEVERLY! His notes on her performance continue to improve her craft. Finally, she would like to thank Carianne Preziosi for laughing at her jokes!

04/25/2024

Sonia Gutierrez-Sisolak (aka Mrs. Gutierrez) is a Sardine Devotee/Citizen of Bikini Bottom/Pirate in The SpongeBob Musical! Mrs. Gutierrez was born and raised in Puerto Rico, and speaks Spanish, English, Italian, and some Portuguese. She works in the ESL Department as an Assistant Teacher, she is also a Lesley University student pursuing a Master in Elementary Education. Teaching gives her purpose in life: to share her knowledge and inspire young minds. FHS is like family to her. Since she moved to Massachusetts 4 years ago, she has found best friends and colleagues for life here. This is Mrs. Gutierrez’s last year at FHS; next year will be her Pre-Practicum and Practicum year in Elementary Education. It is also her youngest child’s last year at FHS; he will be graduating in June. Having the opportunity to participate in such a dynamic and fun event will certainly be one of the high points of a year already full of milestones. It is The Best Year Ever!!!!!! Previous theatrical experience includes the University of Dayton/Spanish Club Play and Puerto Rican Cultural Society of Dayton Ohio Musical Group Ensemble "La Rondalla". She also sang in school choirs. Fun fact: Mrs. Gutierrez is an artist with a Bachelor of Fine Arts, and before working in education, she was a Visual Merchandiser for a large department store. She is also a Latin Dancer and a Foodie who loves to cook a multitude of cuisines. She would like to thank her husband and children for supporting her while she juggles being a full-time Assistant Teacher, full-time student, and FHS Spongebob the Musical Cast Member. Gracias ESL department for being our biggest fans.

Susie Ramirez (aka Ms. Ramirez) is Sandy Cheeks in The SpongeBob Musical! At FHS, she is the School Counseling Department Head. She loves meeting with students because they are at a point in their lives where they are gaining independence, learning about themselves, and making decisions that could have an impact on their future. As a school counselor, she has the opportunity to connect with students and help them navigate this juncture. To her, FHS is like a microcosm of the real world. We have so many talented students and adults, and every day brings different adventures, challenges, and conversations. Ms. Ramirez loves that being in The SpongeBob Musical has afforded all of us the opportunity to connect across disciplines and experiences, and to share a space with so much talent and energy! Ms. Ramirez hasn't been on stage in more than 20 years, but previously she was an avid ballet student at the Boston Ballet School, performing in productions like The Nutcracker and Sleeping Beauty. And, she played Cinderella in Into the Woods and Andrea in Once on this Island when she was in school. Fun fact: Ms. Ramirez played the bongo in a salsa band when she was in college! She would like to thank Chris for making this happen! She has been waiting 10 years for this opportunity. She would also like to thank her family! Rudi for holding down the fort and putting up with "Sandy" at home, and Carmen and Nicolas for helping her learn lines and getting the notes right for the musical numbers.

04/13/2024

Sarah Leigh (aka Mrs. Leigh (sometimes just 'Miss')) is Karen The Computer in The SpongeBob Musical! She is an English Teacher at FHS. She loves having the chance to talk literature all day every day with students who may not yet realize just how much they love books! Mrs. Leigh loves the sense of community at FHS; she knows that no matter where in the building she is, everyone is dedicated to helping our students grow and thrive. The SpongeBob Musical has been an amazing experience getting to work with her coworkers from all different departments on something so joyous - she loves being able to sing and dance together with everyone (the end, in fact, *is* coming). She studied theatre in college and then spent 5 years trying to make it a career. But she thinks she likes teaching more 🙂. Fun fact: Mrs. Leigh is an avid cosplay enthusiast and used to sing opera. She would like to thank her husband for all of his support (and for making delicious stew), to her mentor Heather for encouraging her to do this, and to the entire FHS community for being so endlessly welcoming to a new teacher!

04/13/2024

Michelle Kinsella (aka Ms. Kinsella) is a Citizen of Bikini Bottom/Pirate in The SpongeBob Musical! She is a Health Teacher in Framingham for the elementary schools. She loves making her kids laugh and smile while they are learning about the human body. Teaching puberty is her favorite as it brings her so much joy! She loves seeing all her former 5th graders at FHS! She is so thankful for the opportunity to be in the cast with so many talented and wonderful people. Ms. Kinsella was a mouse in The Nutcracker during elementary school. She was a dancer in Hello Dolly in college. Recently, she has performed many theatrical productions from the comforts of her own kitchen or car including: Chorus Line, Wicked, Dear Evan Hanson, Les Miserables, and of course Hamilton. Fun fact: she recently finished the Abbott World Marathon Challenge, running the following 6 marathons: Boston, Chicago, NYC, Berlin, London and Tokyo. There have been 1,867 female finishers from the US, and 5,210 worldwide. Ms. Kinsella is thankful for her former 5th grader, Chris Brindley, for taking a chance on her!

04/13/2024

Emily Rathmell (aka Mrs. R) is the Mayor of Bikini Bottom. She is a teacher in the Science Department at FHS. Each day brings new opportunities to learn, be challenged, have fun, and make an impact on the lives of others. She has some really great colleagues, and has learned so much about other cultures through the diverse population of students. The SpongeBob Musical pushes her out of her comfort zone and gives her an opportunity to spend time with colleagues that she doesn't get to see very often! Mrs. R took an acting class in high school as an elective, and was a cast member in Bystander 9/11 in the fall of 2021. Fun fact: Mrs. Rathmell indulges in photography on the side, and she has been shark cage diving. She would like to thank her family for rehearsing lines with her and watching her practice dance moves, and Chris Brindley for getting us all together!

04/13/2024

William Daher (aka Mr. Daher) is a Citizen of Bikini Bottom/Pirate in The SpongeBob Musical! He is an ESL teacher at FHS. He loves watching students make connections and have aha moments. The SpongeBob Musical experience has been great for getting to know coworkers on a different level, and for learning that there is so much talent in the building. He was involved in Community Theater when he lived in New Hampshire. He was in A Christmas Story: The Musical for 4 years in a row. Fun fact: Mr. Daher can ride a unicycle and play piano but not at the same time. He would like to thank Chris Brindley, Bethany and the entire cast.

04/13/2024

Lauren Comerato (aka Ms. Comerato) is an Electric Skate/Citizen of Bikini Bottom/Pirate in The SpongeBob Musical! She teaches Visual Art in the Fine and Performing Arts Department. She loves sharing her passion for art and showing students that they ARE artists, and she hopes that her students walk away with the pride and confidence to be lifelong makers. Ms. Comerato grew up in Framingham and is an FHS alumna. She loves the diversity within this community, and how even though it is a large school, we are able to connect with students one-on-one to create a small town feel. This SpongeBob Musical experience has given her the confidence to take more risks and focus on adding joy in all areas of her life and to build a greater sense of community outside of her department. She was in theater during middle school but stopped when she reached high school to focus on visual arts, but this show has given her an opportunity to experience love of performing again! Fun fact: The cast includes a few of her previous teachers - getting to work with them as peers has been one of the best experiences! Ms. Comerato wants to thank her family and boyfriend for constantly listening to her sing these fun songs and practice roller skating!
