I'm running for District 5 City Councilor. D5 includes precincts 10, 11 and 15. I'm running because our City is at a crossroads.

We're approaching our 4th year as a City and we've made some incredible strides and accomplishments such as building a brand new state of the art Middle School which just recently opened, getting a majority of our citizens vaccinated against COVID-19, taking advantage of the new law giving cities and towns the authorization to allow Ma*****na dispensaries to open shops providing new revenue and re

To residents of District 5,
On behalf of my family to yours I wish you all a very Merry, joyous and safe Christmas!

District 5 residents I’m pleased to announce after many years of toil and labor by many behind the scenes and front stage the Framingham Public Schools and the City of Framingham have been accepted for State funding by the Massachusetts School Building Authority (MSBA) to assist in constructing a new elementary school (K-5) on the Southside of Framingham at Bethany Hill. This will also pave the path for Hemingway School in Nobscot to be converted into a pre K center. The majority of our school aged children live south of Route 9 so this will dramatically shift the resources and assets geographically as well as significantly enhancing our delivery of education to the most precious of our resources and a direct link to our future economic vitality-our children. Personally and as your district Councilor, I couldn’t be any prouder of our community leaders coming together to champion this endeavor and to see the beginning stages come to fruition. Thank you to Dr Robert Tremblay our Superintendent of Schools and his key staff, our Mayor Charlie Sisitsky and his staff, our state legislative delegation to include our State Senator and Senate President Karen Spilka and her team, our School Committee members past and present and my colleagues on the Council as well as our past Councilors for their support and superb efforts. One team, a vision, decisive action, one Framingham.

Mosquito Spraying in Framingham Tonight

FRAMINGHAM –The East Middlesex Mosquito Control Project is planning to use a truck-mounted aerosol sprayer to apply Zenivex E4 (EPA Reg No. 2724.807) at a rate of 1 oz per acre in Framingham tonight, August 3. The spraying will be done between sunset and 11:30 p.m. in South Framingham neighborhoods.

The East Middlesex Mosquito Control Project sprayed in North Framingham neighborhoods earlier this week.

The spray area descriptions are intended to provide a general description for where mosquito spraying will take place. The spray routes will include many more roads than the ones listed below.

Tonight, spraying is scheduled for areas of Framingham that are located south of Waverly Street near Fay Road, Bethany Road, Winthrop Street, Hollis Street, Irving Street, Bates Road, Hickory Hill Lane, and Jodie Road. The mosquito control product being used is Zenivex E4 (EPA Reg No. 2724.807), and it’s being applied at 1 oz per acre. Zenivex E4 is a non-ester pyrethroid and is classified by the EPA as a reduced-risk pesticide.

Mosquito control applications of Zenivex E4 do not pose a significant risk to people or their pets due to the low toxicity and the small amount used to control mosquitoes. As with any pesticide, people should minimize their exposure. If residents see a spray truck approaching, they are advised to go indoors for a few minutes while the spray dissipates. Residents are also advised to close windows.

Beekeepers do not need to take any special precautions since spraying begins after dusk. Zenivex E4 biodegrades rapidly and doesn’t build up in the environment.

If residents have any questions related to mosquitoes or mosquito control or want to inquire about opting out of the spraying, contact the East Middlesex Mosquito Control Project at 781-899-5730.

The East Middlesex Mosquito Control Project was established in 1945 as a Trust Agency of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts. The Project provides mosquito control services to 26 participating communities located west and northwest of Boston.

The governing body of the Project is the East Middlesex Mosquito Control Commission which is comprised of one representative from each municipal government. The Commission selects 5 of its members to serve on an Executive Committee, which meets on a regular basis.

I’m thrilled to announce 📣 today July 14th 2023 that I am officially running for re-election to the City Council to represent the heart of Framingham District 5. I feel we as a Council in cooperation with Mayor Sisitsky and his administration; have had many accomplishments the last 18 months but our work to improve the lives of residents and grow our businesses to include my goals for the District and our City are yet to be completed. Despite not having an opponent on the ballot this year, I will
endeavor to visit hundreds of homes throughout the district to pitch my ideas and conversely listen to your concerns, complaints, hopes and fears. I aim to earn each vote and represent you all to the best of my abilities.
