Back to School Survival

Back to school days can be challenging for everyone! Keep these things in mind for the first few weeks of school.
Your child and family will adjust to the patterns of this school year. Be kind to yourselves as you settle into a new normal!

We’re still riding that post food truck high! We loved seeing folks from our ECF Program join us in Fairview for our event. When the community shows up, you know you’ve been doing something right. ✨

We are honored at Waves to support recipients throughout their entire lives. From our Early Learning Department to our Adult Services, we get to build that relationship and care for each individual for as long as they need our support. 💙

When it comes to outings, our Waves Adults will always join in on the fun. Van loved playing a round with our volunteer group from Franklin First United Methodist Church, and we have no doubt he made sure everyone was included. 💙

Whoever meets Hannah immediately gets educated on her favorite voice actors and the characters they've voiced. You're guaranteed to be impressed with the amount of facts she's throwing your way. Can you guess which character Hannah was telling the Fairview Day Program about?

As the school year starts, you might be thinking about the milestones your child has met and some that he is still working to accomplish. If you have concerns about your child’s development, it can be helpful to have someone take a closer look. In Tennessee, it just takes a few steps!

Thank goodness for great friends! With our ECF program, our Waves Adults have the opportunity to foster the relationships that are important to them and make fun plans together. Where is your favorite place to visit with a friend?

We just want to take advantage of each day like our Waves Adults! From socializing at our Day Programs to staying active in the community, their time never goes by wasted. 🙌

Shout out to our mommas out there, who work hard to make trying new things a fun and positive experience for their child! One of our Early Interventionists got to witness their family hit a milestone during a family session and we're all celebrating! It isn't easy and it's often messy, but that feeling when your child hits a milestone makes the whole process rewarding.

Would you rather volunteers with dogs or cats? Waves has had the best time volunteering with both at the Williamson County Animal Center! Christy is so good with the dogs at WCAC, she always brings one of them over to the rest of the Waves group for everyone to give a treat and spend time with. 🐾💙

Starting School!
