It was a little wet and muddy but the Downtown Partnership Beautification Day went off without a problem! This is just one of the things that happen in Franklin that makes it such a wonderful community. Shout out to Eileen Mason for 20 years of taking on this annual tradition. And also to the FHS Baseball Team for always volunteering!

I want to congratulate Jen Levine and Jim Derick on the fantastic Gala they put on and to also applaud them on what the SAFE organization has grown into in just a few short years. It is truly amazing how many lives they have impacted in that time. Well done!

Every year I take some photos for this annual event where the Franklin Firefighters pay tribute to those who have fallen in the line of duty. It is a great privileged for me to do this and it serves as a reminder of what some people are willing to sacrifice to help us all.

When I opened my business over 30 years ago this young ladies mother came in for pictures and was only 14 years old. And since then I photographed moms senior portrait, wedding, and her 3 children. Now her oldest senior portrait. Sera has the same smile and hair as her mom as well as her passion for softball. It is such a pleasure to watch the growth of this family!

Yesterday I was out around town taking some photos of dancers for the Franklin School for the Performing Arts. It was a little warm but otherwise a great day to take advantage of some of local surroundings. Although I see these places everyday I sometimes forget how picturesque this town is.

Here are some of the photos I took recently for the Franklin Rotary Club and the seniors at Central Park Terrace. The Rotarian's have been serving pasta and home made meatballs at this annual event for as long as I can remember. It is just another example of the great community spirit in Franklin. Way to go to the Rotary and all those who made this happen!

The big shout out of the day goes to Eileen Mason, of Re/Max in association with The Franklin Downtown Partnership, who every year flawlessly organizes the planting of the flowers on the railroad bridge downtown and flower barrels along Main Street. Your thanks should also go out to Fairmount Farms, Franklin High Baseball Team and the Franklin DPW. As well as all the others who volunteered their time. The work was done just in time for the rain to water the freshly planted flowers!

We are starting to fill in our schedule for senior portraits. Located at the beautiful Moseley Mill on Hayward Street we can photograph inside and outside portraits in a quick, yet relaxed session. Perfect for the guy who probably does not care about getting his portrait taken. Quality, fast, experienced! We can go on location too. Don't wait until August. It's not to early to start planning senior portraits. May and June are the best months to have them done. The days are long and not too hot. Everything outside is fresh and at its best. I am able to do inside and outside portraits easily at my location at the Moseley Mill but I am also available to go on location if you prefer. Summer can be a busy time with work, college trips, vacations, sports practice and many other things. Now is the best time to start planning.

I wanted to highlight one of my longtime clients, Berry Insurance. Whenever they get a new hire the first thing they do is send them across the parking lot to my office and I do some headshots and two full length poses that I use to form these group photos. It is a simple process to add the new person group without having to get everyone in for a new photo. They are also handling all of my insurance needs as well!

It is very much an honor to have been able to take the photos for another edition of Dean College Magazine. But it was also a great privilege to have been able to witness the transition between Dr. Paula Rooney to Kenn Elmore and Ed Augustus. I have been a vendor for Dean for many years and I am also the parent of someone who graduated there. I also have many clients that work there and all I can tell you is that it a first class organization. Much success to the Dean and the new Chancellor!

It's always a special day when you photograph a high school senior who is the daughter of someone you did their senior portraits for! We had to dodge some afternoon summer showers but it was mission accomplished for Emily, Class of 2023. Her mom Amy, was FHS Class of 1993!
