Completely inspired by this beautiful kitchen that shared today. The light streaming through the windows, billowy cafe curtains, and the soft, earthy green hue on the island - it’s all complete perfection. Designed:
My client invested in a sectional for her home, and decided to bring us on board to assist her with selections for the rest of the space. It’s going to be fun seeing this one come together fully!
Here’s another bedroom angle from the . It’s the perfect space for staying in and cozying up to a lazy Saturday and a good book.
Anyone else feel like a warm, salt bath is an essential part of self care? The primary bathroom at the is quiet and restful- the perfect spot to unwind a after a long day.
One of the things I love most about interior design is that I get to help families create homes that bring them a sense of joy and peace when they enter. No matter the project, our mission is always the same- to create spaces that are deeply personal, functional, and breathtakingly beautiful, all while meeting your family’s personal needs and aesthetic. Here’s a few of our most recent projects!
It’s that gloomy not-winter-but-not-quite-spring season here in Massachusetts, where the roadways are all still covered in salt and the landscape is composed of varying shades of banal browns and twigs and dried leaves. But there’s a fresh new season about to poke through, and I can’t wait. So, in defiance of this dreary Massachusetts Wednesday, I decided I’d dream of open kitchen windows, and sunlit spaces, and the smell of lilacs on the breeze instead. Come on, spring!
We created loads of interest and just the right dose of tension in this traditional entryway, by pairing a bold ceiling with an eclectic mix of transitional and traditional pieces. If you’re hesitant to add color to your ceiling, a space that you don’t spend the majority of your time in- like an entry or a bathroom- is the perfect place to do it!
I finished part of this beautiful install yesterday and I’m so in love with the changes! The entryway is the first place you see when you come home, so it's the perfect place to start when you begin renovating. My client chose this space, along with her kitchen, as one of the first spaces to be refreshed in her home, and the transformations were dramatic. More photos to come!
It’s hard to believe I made this boho sleepover tent/fort for my daughter’s birthday 5 years ago! You can see how I made it, and more about what we did at the party over on my site! Just search ‘bohemian birthday’.
Oh, just a cute little hamper that I want on my wall 😊🏀
Just a shot of a sunny, girl’s room vignette on this cold, Massachusetts Thursday! ☀️
Have you ever gone shopping and come home with a piece that you love, only to find when you put it into your space, something felt off? So back you go with a return and the hunt continues? Or you decide it’s easier to live with it, but deep down it makes you a little unhappy every time you look at it?
Have you ever painted your living room or bedroom 2 or 3 times, only to still find you’re not thrilled with the results, but you’re also not sure where you’re missing the mark?
When we enter your home, we’re not thinking about what’s trending, or what the latest fads are, we listen to your story, what your hopes and dreams for your space are, and we customize a design plan suited to your personal aesthetic and functional needs. Each decision we make from the very beginning stages until the very last details are installed, are selected with your own personal needs and aesthetic in mind.
At Willow Street Interiors, we rely on our integrity, knowledge, and our eye for design to complete each project on time and on budget, with consistently beautiful results, saving you time and money in the end. We know the right questions to ask, so that you will be left with a home that you love, and the days of endless shopping and returning behind you.
Curating a thoughtful and cozy home is simpler than you’d think if you keep a few things in mind..
-layer on the textures. You can do this by adding plants/flowers/greenery, and varying the textures on throws and upholstery. Also adding vintage pieces or imperfect natural finishes and/or materials will add lots of texture and dimension as well
-lighting! Lighting is so important to good design. This bank of windows created the perfect opportunity for me to add additional lighting, interest, and ambiance to this space. Adding floor lamps and table lamps is a simple and easy way to help create a soft and cozy atmosphere as well.
-candles. There’s rarely a day I don’t light a candle in my home. It a simple way to create a relaxed atmosphere, regardless of the season
-mix high and low pieces. The goal with good design is to create a home with a sense of history and stability. No unapproachable furniture showrooms allowed! Adding a few treasures from a thrift store alongside a gorgeous high end fabric, instantly creates interest and makes it appear as though your home has been cared for and thoughtfully evolving for years, instantly creating a sense of history and coziness when you enter. 🏠
Soft, velvety textures, a subtle color palette, and warm sunlight streaming in is the perfect backdrop to a good book and a lazy Saturday, I think. This little moment right here is one of my favorites from the ❤️
The perfect kitchen for hosting football Sundays and pretty much every holiday there is!
I juxtaposed a moody, masculine palette with a touch of vintage floral in this earthy and timeless home office. My clients asked for lots of closed storage, which the three side-by-side cabinets provided. Floating the desk in the center of the room keeps the space feeling light and inviting. I 🖤 this space!
As I was going through photos today, I realized that I haven’t shared much of this pretty bathroom reno! The before and after in this space was very dramatic and it was such a fun project to see take shape. I’m going to have lots of new reveals going live soon, so stay tuned!
As we move into 2024, I think we’re going to be seeing more color and more deeply personal spaces that reflect our own individual lifestyles, personalities and aesthetics. Warm neutral spaces as well as colorful spaces with warm, earthy undertones will be playing a big role in 2024, and if you know anything about me, you know all of the above speaks to me! From neutral and moody, to textural and organic, to lots of color blanketed with just the right balance of energy and serenity, I’m here for it all.
With the help of I had the pleasure of working on a colorful and cozy home for a wonderful Massachusetts family last year and I’m so excited to be sharing it for the Wayfair Professional Tastemakers 2024 Design Awards! As a member of , I love perusing their wide range of furnishings and accessories in my projects, including this one! My client was looking for a colorful and fresh home office that reflected her bold and free spirited personality and the end result of their entire home brings me so much happiness.
