Early 1900s Round French Table .. gorgeous and super hard to find. 5’2”.
Crushing big time here! Love!!! this old exposed chimney and fireplace. Costing this out to see if we can recreate this in the design project. If it fits the budget, I’ll share with you how we made it work. We are demoing the existing faux stone fireplace facade and this would be perfect to set the mood in the dining room. This room once was a living room, but due to its close proximity with the kitchen dining area, and French doors that open out to allow for Al fresco dining on a gorgeous rear deck, and southern front porch, the transition will allow for a large group to dine together. Stay tuned … this isn’t the only footprint we are changing.

Found!!! This sweet little antique desk will serve double duty between 2 twin beds in the design project. It’s going in a loft bedroom that will be wallpapered. Thanks Chris & Ester for picking the coolest pieces!
Many thanks to all of you who came out to shop and visit with us . The show was amazing and we are so grateful to be apart of it every February.

The samples arrived today for the design project we are working on. Can’t wait to compare the Zellige samples to the samples that arrived earlier this week. The look is the same, except that has a new thinner version. Curious to discover what kind of difference that will make in the look before we order. Excited to see the concrete tile pattern Pomelo Jaipur Pink for one of the bathroom floors. This luxury vacation rental is going to be really special. So it’s important that the design is something you aren’t likely to see in your own home. I’ll keep you posted when we open the box.
It’s a total shop reset going on at City Farmhouse. We moved the check out around, again! Haha we love doing that. Hoping we get to make the buying trip on Sunday. BUYING TRIP CANCELLED!!! AGAIN! Snow along the route) ugh! 5 times cancelled! We’ve had to cancel going out 4 times now.

Don’t crumble. Faith is your restoration tool!
Now faith is the assurance of things hoped for, the conviction of things not seen. Hebrews 11:1
New Seasons … God is not human, that He should lie, not a human being, that He should change His mind. Does He speak and then not act? Does He promise and not fulfill? Numbers 23:19
Do you feel it when God is bringing you into a new season? Are you accepting of the change or do you fear it? Can you trust that He is in control, even when it doesn’t make sense? Throughout my life i have been aware when God is bringing me into a new season. I can look back and see each one. They look like chapters in the book of my life. I feel it now ... a new season. 🦋
I’m always excited because I love change and I love how God knows that. When He created me He knew He was going to be busy. Because I don’t like things to stay the same. I’m always welcoming the next new adventure ... the next season ... the next chapter. New seasons aren’t always easy, that’s why I’m always holding on to God who has the best ideas, ability, and love for me. With Him i can “Do all things through Christ who strengthens me.” Philippians 4:13
In new seasons there will be rain 🌧 along with plenty of sunshine ☀️ but God has our umbrella, our boat, and navigation chart all ready! I love that about Him! 💛 Are you in a new season? Are you excited or fearful?

In loving memory of Judy Hill … a woman loved and admired by so many .. heart of gold .. hands of an artist. Judy transformed everything she touched. Her booths weren’t just stocked with antiques, her spaces were created, curated and crafted with soul, expression and artistry. I have always treasured this lovely picture taken of Judy doing what she loved at one of the City Farmhouse Popup Fairs. Thinking of her sweet Billy and family and sending all our love. 🙏🏻
Tonight! I hope you Dance .. in your living room .. your kitchen .. in the shower .. anywhere that speaks to you .. but mostly in your mind because 2024 is going to be soooo worth celebrating!! Happy New Year, Lovelies! 😘
And this is the testimony: God has given us eternal life, and this life is in His son. 1 John 5:11
No greater gift will ever be given to you. ♥️🙏🏻
Merry Christmas! 🕊️
Mary and Baby Jesus
Who is Mary, Mother of Jesus?
Jesus’ mother was probably “born in Nazareth during the reign of Herod the Great.” That reign lasted from 37-4 BC. She was part of the peasantry, which included skilled tradespeople, but which faced “a triple tax burden: to Rome, to Herod the Great and to the temple.” Typical family homes consisted of “three or four houses of one or two rooms each built around an open courtyard, in which relatives shared an oven, a cistern and a millstone for grinding grain, and where domestic animals also lived.” Mary would have spent most of her time doing household work including strenuous physical chores.
She was a tough woman, capable of walking the hill country of Judea while pregnant, of giving birth in a stable, of making a four or five-day journey on foot to Jerusalem once a year or so, of sleeping outside, and of engaging in daily hard labor at home. She was probably illiterate since women rarely learned to read and write during this time, a period in which oral transmission of information was typical.
She became “part of the fulfillment of God’s ultimate plan” when the angel declared, “You will conceive and give birth to a son, and you are to call him Jesus. He will be great and will be called the Son of the Most High. The Lord God will give him the throne of his father David, and he will reign over Jacob’s descendants forever; his kingdom will never end.” Luke 1:31-33

One of my favorite 19th century paintings. I imagine this fine lady is walking to church with her Bible clasps in her arms. Found and brought from Brian Edgecomb
I love dried hydrangeas all winter long.
Oh, taste and see that the Lord is good; blessed is the man who trusts in Him! Psalm 34:8
The many daily blessings that God gives to us who trust Him! Where would we be without Him? I see His goodness everyday .. every moment .. in ALL things. He has blessed us greatly in this season of Thanksgiving. Thanking Him for the BEST time spent with our family .. our health .. the abundance this week in our business .. His never failing love.

“There is a time for everything, and a season for every activity under the heavens” Ecclesiastes 3:1
“A time for everything” … determined by God and what is best for us. When we try to control God’s timing, or take it upon ourselves to push an outcome it never comes with success or peace. Wait on the Lord, pray for patience (patience .. so, so hard). When I am anxious about “timing”, I pray first for God’s peace and for Him to build my patience. This helps me to wait on His perfect timing. Are you struggling with God’s timing in this unsettled world?
Thanks so much for the love 💛 Always happy to see you!
