All set up - ready for you! Middletown Farmers Market is now open!
We raise our pigs on 8.5 acres of pig paradise and have farrowed our sows numerous times in the three years we have had the property-but this year the coyotes discovered it was a smorgasbord of tender baby pork ☹️
We lost three litters , all within days of each other and all no older than three days old!
So the animal management is changing, we now are bringing the sows in to the barn to farrow( by the way they hate being cooped up , and Will do anything to get out). This particular sow was rounded up three times, and the third time was the charm. We now have 7 piggies - now keep your fingers crossed that the coyotes won’t find a way into the barn😳😬

This week is the Thursday evening market at Middletown-
And on Saturday we will be at Pleasant Hill Produce Farm in Walkersville - 8444 Fountain Rock Rd- hours from 1pm- 5 pm.
Pleasant Hill Produce has a full array of veggies and their stand is open 7 days a week 24 hours a day……it’s an honor system and it’s working!!!!! Pineline can’t operate quite the same way but you can come and see me , I will be attending Saturdays ( that I am not processing chickens)
Below is pictured what Pleasant Hill has to offer- between the 2 of us a fantastic meal is in the making!!

Folks, this Sunday at The frederick City Market , we will be bringing fresh spatchcocked chicken! Perfect for Father’s Day grilling!!!!
I found a creative use for my empty feed sacks this year. I am taking the time to use them as w**d barrier instead of buying the expensive black plastic stuff. My garden LOVES Me!!!
