Today at the Catholic Schools Mass, I had the honor of informing 2nd grade teacher, Sarah Kubic, that she had been selected by her peers as the 2024 Friends of Catholic Education Teaching Award of Excellence recipient from St. John Regional Catholic School! She is a 2015 graduate of Saint John’s Catholic Prep and received her Master’s of Education from Mount St. Mary’s University in December! Noemi Soto was named the Archdiocese of Baltimore Teacher of the Year today, as well! There were lots of cheers for these incredible teachers! It’s a beautiful Catholic Schools Week Mass celebrated by The Most Reverend Adam Parker, Bishop of Baltimore and concelebrated by Fr. Keith, Fr. John, Fr. Brian, Fr. Matt, Fr. Javier, Deacon Jeff and Seminarian Steven! Mary Haley and the Catholic Schools Week Committee organized a Food Drive for the Frederick Food Bank and they came to pick up the entire collection that was placed outside of church. They were so grateful!! While I was speaking, I also encouraged the students to thank their parents for working so hard for them to attend St. John Regional Catholic School. I think they actually listened! Thanks to Frank Lipscomb and Toni Edwards, members of our Board of Trustees, for attending the Mass. Wow, this was a super day!

Today at Ash Wednesday Mass, Father Mike performed a special blessing for Ann Coughlin, a math teacher at the school. She and her husband Chris are awaiting the birth of their first child. It was just beautiful💕🙏🏻💕
