Today is also the first day of the adjusted summer work schedule for FCPS staff. Offices work on an amended schedule during the summer and are closed on Fridays.

We are already making plans to welcome students for the 2024-25 school year, which begins Wednesday, August 21. The week of June 10 will be the first day of the adjusted summer work schedule for FCPS staff. Offices work on an amended schedule during the summer and are closed on Fridays.

✨2023-24 Yearbooks✨

For those of you who ordered yearbooks, they have arrived and will be distributed to students tomorrow, Monday June 3rd. 📌Remind your student to write their name on the inside front cover in case they get misplaced.

If you forgot to order a yearbook and are interested, we have 48 additional yearbooks which will be available on a first come, first served basis. 🚫Please don't call the front office though. Instead, ❗️fill out the brief Google Form below so we can keep track of who asked first, and then be prepared to send the $25 cash 💵 to Mrs. Seales once she confirms that we have one for you.

Yearbook Order There are 48 extra yearbooks available. By completing this form, we will hold a book for you until Tuesday, June 4th - $25 cash to Mrs. Seales in the front office. If you have not paid for the book, then we can not hold a book for you and they will be sold on a first come, first serve basis starting...

The Whittier PTA will meet one ✨final✨ time this school year to elect officers for next year. The final meeting will be held Tuesday, June 11, at 7:15 pm at the Pavillion outside the Greenleaf Pool (2000 E Greenleaf Dr, Frederick, MD 21702).

✨President (runs meetings, creates agendas for meetings, serves as the point person for all matters PTA)
✨Vice President (supports the president and assists with the duties listed above)
✨Treasurer (keeps a budget, takes cash donations to the bank, distributes reimbursements, reports on the PTA'S financial status at meetings)
✨Secretary (takes notes at meetings, responds to PTA emails, writes thank you cards for donations)

It is vitally important that our PTA reflects the schools we represent. We can only do that if everyone steps up. We understand how intimidating it can be look out at a meeting room full of people you don’t know and with whom you may not immediately identify. But we promise your efforts in working to support all the students in our school will not be a decision you regret. There is no “one size fits all” PTA member. We are moms, dads, grandmas, grandpas, aunts, uncles, and community members. We are a diverse group of people. Yes, there are event-planning wizards, bulletin-board magicians, and fundraising gurus, and even the occasional rousing debate involved in the effort, but we get out so much more than we give!
