Just finished up this project at a new restaurant in Arlington VA 💥 We installed epoxy system with 4” cove base 💥

This was a fun project. More to come. Demoed rubber membrane, installed Primer & US to slope away from the condo.

We had to grind this floor down about 1” and make the floor perfectly level for this medical facility. Mission accomplished 💥🫶🏻

Weekend warriors 💥 Knocked this small polished concrete project out this weekend.

Knocked out this back of house for a client. They reached out Monday and needed to fit it in asap. We jumped on it immediately and executed for our customer 😇

Fun fact: Did you know I’ve been in construction most of my life? As a kid I spent a lot of time on job sites working for my father as a plumbers helper. As I neared the end of high school I became an apprentice and later became a ductwork installation journeyman, later learning the install side of HVAC units. After that, I completed a 5 year apprenticeship program as a HVAC service technician, learning about electrical and refrigeration service and repair for a company called Boland Trane. I worked for them for 8 years and became a journeyman. After battling with my own personal demons of addiction, I was arrested and my life changed forever. Since then I’ve been clean and sober and my career changed. I got into commercial flooring and quickly found my specialty in polished concrete, floor leveling and epoxy coatings. That was over 10 years ago. Now I own and run a successful coatings company called KB Contractors (named after my son) & I’m part owner of 4D Recovery Services which is a company that runs sober living and will grow to serve many different areas of the recovery community. What better way to spend a life than doing two things that I’m extremely passionate about. It’s been a long road and the journey is just getting started 😇

Step repair completed last week. We demoed the old step and poured/ finished with new concrete 💥

Just finished this cream - 200 grit polish 💥

KB Contractors was brought in to prep and pour two huge expansion joints that were up to an inch and a half difference in certain spots. This is just a small section of the 500 LF joint that had to be brought up to tolerance. If you need any help on any floor leveling projects shoot me a message. Happy to come out and provide a survey and solutions for the project. We used CTS Cement Manufacturing Corporation Rapidset Levelflor on this job.

This building was built back in the 1950’s. There was old VCT tile, 2” mud bed, old quarry tile in places, a 2” dip in the floor that needed to be leveled. We polished the floor and used Coval polished concrete sealer for added protection.

We’ll see how this goes. 😎

It’s all about quality here at KB Contractors. It’s been a pleasure to work with Tom Ryan on this interior renovation. We added a drywall bulkhead to enclose some electrical, fixed the bathroom ceiling fan, added some new fixtures in the bathroom and a bunch of painting. We will be doing a kitchen remodel for this customer in the spring.
